    Thanks for showing the graph, gave me a bit of hope and motivation knowing even the good players just get destroyed sometimes. I sometimes end up questioning whether I am winning and should continue with poker after sessions like this - so thanks again

    In the hand of KQcc in 10:00 it is a close call on the flop even against a NIT, there are some things we need to know to improve the accuracy of the call or fold.
    the first point is that the pot odds are 38.8%, and if he bets and shoves 100% of the time with QQ, KK and AA we have an equity of 38.9%, that is, we make a call breakeven.
    However, if you are a player who does not 4bet and all in at a frequency of 100% with QQ, and has for example only a QQ combo, then our equity drops to 37.18%, then we have a fold.
    The last point is that if you are a 4bet and all in on the flop with 100% AA and KK, and only a QQ combo and a JJ combo (the JJ without clubs) we have a breakeven call.
    We would have a call + ev only if the villain made this all in 100% with AA, KK, QQ and at least one JJ combo, then it would be a call, it's a very difficult spot that we have to give the villain good information to improve the call

    Hey. At the 8:46 minute you say pokerstars charges 1% for running twice? I think running twice is free. Just the cashout feature costs 1%. Did they charge you for running twice, or did they change the rules?
    This is from their website:
    """""If any of the active players in the hand do not have 'Run it Twice' activated, the board will run out normally (once only). We do not charge extra rake for 'Run It Twice' hands."""""

    • @michaelwe5884
      @michaelwe5884 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Running it twice costs no fee. The equity cashout costs 1% . Steffen was RIT but said he understands the appeal of cashout even with the fee

  • @MrDani1235

    At minute 8:30 Steffen talks about running it twice and that Pokerstars charges 1% more rake, but on there website they say they don´t charge extra rake for it. What did he mean there ?

    • @ams54321
      @ams54321 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no charge for running it twice. There is however a charge for using the "cashout" feature, perhaps that is what he was referring to.

    Haven't run it through PIO but pretty sure shoves out of position in 4bet pots are 100% standard. AcAx is likely not a good hand to do it with since it blocks a portion of your calling range since you're never folding Ahi flush draws. I would say KcKx and AxKc are fairly high frequency shoves in that spot with Aces without a club also doing a decent amount of shoving.

    • @hossel1079

      stop looking at solvers for all your answers, following them blindly really doesn't translate into maximum value in real life

    • @keithmason1485
      @keithmason1485 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@hossel1079 who said anything about following them blindly? I pay my bills through poker. I understand how to implement solver strategies. And if you're going to follow anything blindly it should be a solver output and not your own biased opinion. Simply because you think a play is good or bad doesn't mean it is. 10 years ago pros swore cbetting 2/3 pot on every board type was good. 10 years ago pros thought overbets were something fish do. Solvers allow you to understand concepts, with the issue being you need specific ranges for the solver to be accurate but you don't need perfect ranges to understand the concepts.
      An overbet shove OOP with a low SPR is a completely standard concept. The exact hands to do so with will vary based on the exact ranges but doing it has been proven to be standard.

    Can someone explain why did he fold the K diamond flush? My mind is blowing right now, he has the second nuts, and the A is blocked by the Ace of the Board. He will win the most times that he pays any flush and there is no full house chance. Obviously it can be the A of diamonds, it has to be a good hand to go all in in that extremely dangerous board, but the call has to be mathematical worth right?
    I make the question in order to learn a little bit more, I'm missing something for sure, he knows a lot more of poker than me hahaha

    • @danielnall2685

      He bet and the person behind him raised. They're never raising without the nut flush. If they had a reasonably sized diamond, they would just call.
