Hi guys! Lots of people are asking "how" this is supposed to help against anxiety. If you are stressed then watching ASMR videos is often enough to calm you down a bit, and many people enjoy craft channels for that reason. Of course, it's even more effective if you try crafting yourself which counteracts many of the negative feelings that come with anxiety. 1) Crafting is a form of mindfulness, which encourages you to focus on the present moment instead of brooding about random things you have no control over. 2) You craft alone. Lots of mood disorders overlap with social anxiety where you really don't feel comfortable in big groups of people or uncontrollable social situations. Crafting gives you full control of your work in a solitary and safe environment. 3) You get a sense of completion. Starting and finishing a craft project is very satisfying because you feel like you achieved a goal. Sometimes anxiety or depression makes you feel like your life is going nowhere so it really helps to know you're capable of completing tasks. 4) Crafting is analogue and slow. You probably don't even realise how much time you spend staring at a screen all day. Looking at other people's lives, replying to messages, checking emails all contribute to stress. So it genuinely helps if you just take 1-2 hours away from the digital world, spend some time listening to music and making something with your hands.
❤️crafting always helps me, i have severe anxiety and sometimes just going to the post office to drop off a letter is a stressful process. i definitely recommend crafting to those of you who have anxiety because of all the reasons above and more, trust me you will realize the benefits!
Maqaroon ahh I absolutely love your same videos.❤️ it calms me down and I tend to fall asleep watching them😂 I just want to remind you that you are much more than a TH-camr I look up to. You are a kind hearted amazing person! I can tell trough the screen😂 Anyways Hope you get to this 💕
this is so true. sometimes when i'm anxious or sad i cross stitch. its so time consuming and slow and requires a lot of concentration so it really helps take your mind off of things, plus its easy and turns out beautiful
I actually picked up a felting kit not long after I discovered your channel. I was going through a really hard time during my freshman year of college. But the little turtle felting kit was so much fun and relaxing to just sit and slowly watch it come together. Now Sheldon the turtle goes wherever I go as a reminder that things really can get better.
My favourite parts are the "deep" poking noises when attaching the head to the body. It's always hard deciding where to stop those scenes when editing since the whole clip is so satisfying 🤣.
I started because of her too. At first I just wanted to make the sounds, but it turns out I'm kind of good at it! I've been doing it for about 4 months, and have a lot to learn yet, but I felted both the figures in my profile pic. I am hooked for life!
Thank you! It's actually a fairly old kit (one of the first generations of felting kits that were made by Hamanaka, prob 2010ish) and I love that it has a slightly Japanese retro/nostalgic aesthetic to it

@@I_am_Alexander_ by poo she means like "a poo ur looking so cute TO today" or something she doesn't mean like her channel is bad by poo it means like boo u know how girls sometime call each other Boo? Same thing as poo hope u understand now cuz some people say that! :)
The classic needle felting, ah I've missed it. And I'm so happy to see this kit being the return! I totally want to try this little doggo, I just hope I'll actually be able to complete it!
Hi!! I love your videos and I love making these resin craft kits myself! (I actually made that same cake most recently!) I have a couple tips that I learned, hope they help: 1. Before curing, pop the air bubbles with the toothpick, it'll look a lot cleaner! (But you have to do this quickly, or the resin will sort of start to move upwards along the edge the container a little...) 2. Rubbing alcohol cleans both the pigment and resin off your skin easily! 3. If you accidentally make a small mistake or spill a tiny drop of resin over the top, you can wipe it up super easily with a plain paper towel before curing. 4. Adding a thin layer on the very top of everything will help to seal the decorations in place and give it a really nice finish. I really enjoyed this video, and have been wanting you to work with these resin kits for a while now!! I hope you enjoyed it, and that you will try other kits in the future, I love them! ^^
Thank you so much, those are great tips!! Yes, I knew there was something you need to do with air bubbles and resin...I saw some crafters using a torch as well but I definitely didn't have that 😅. Resin is so versatile so I'm excited to try out lots of new things with it
Maqaroon Ah thanks, glad I could be of help!! Your crafts are the absolute cutest and I'm super excited to see other resin crafts or whatever's coming next :)
I started needle felting because of you and GOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH thank you, Joana :) it's very hard to get hold of these kits in Brazil but I bought bunches of coloured wool and did my own projects. They aren't always awesome, actually almost never, but it's so relaxing and pleasant to needle felt! :)
Renata Diniz do you use a special mat for it? I just use a sponge but I don't know if that will damage the needles if they poke in the sponge. I'm from The Netherlands and here it's also hard to find these kits or the right supplies for it
Cute puppy! When I started making needle felting toys, I also wanted to make them cute, but then, I got carried away with the creation of needle felting human faces, and the results impressed me very much. Your videos are very nice to watch. They inspire me to start making cute animals again. Thank you:)
A huge congratulations to cute life for hitting a million subscribers and you're also nearly their to.....your anxiety diys have helped me through pretty tough times and as the years went by your needle felting skills have improved so much and thank you, Joanna for giving me a reason to smile❤️💙💜💛💚😘😘😊😊😊😊😊

Aw! What a cute floofy pupper :3 I've been wanting to start needlefelting but I don't have the materials :(( I love seeing other people's needlefelting creations though!
I remember trying to make a floam a while ago using rice, it didn't work for me. So I took the mixture and left it out in a circular form. Then, when it dried I could hold it in my hands, and feel the bumpy texture. I used it the next day when I went on a plane ride, and I would rub it and it made me feel better because I have a fear of planes. To this day I still keep my small one in my pocket. I think that if you made a part 2 this would be a great thing to add. Love this video!! ❤️❤️
thank you so much. I have anxiety issues and ADHD, so I cannot focus well and I get stressed easily. the crafting helps me calm down and feel a sense of completion, and helps me to do something with my hands. the asmr also helps to calm my anxiety, which is nice. even though you may never see this, I have to thank you for making this video, because you are really helping in more ways that you realize.

Hey, Maqaroon? Could you maybe make more videos like you used to before? Like, more ASMR, and maybe some more resin? I would really appreciate it, all I see is slime on this channel, and I can't really make slime. SO if you could please, bring back the old Maqaroon.
Thank you for the feedback! Once Maqaroon goes over 1M, I'm genuinely thinking of taking it back to more kawaii crafts/sewing/painting tutorials. Sadly TH-cam's algorithm has been really unforgiving in 2017, so channels are forced to use trending content in order to grow. But I hope that I'll have enough people watching the videos by then that it can sustain itself just through organic views :)

Hi, I always loved your DIYs and always wanted to felt. However, it seems really hard, and I'm not sure where to get the felt. Btw I live in the USA, any tips?
Hi! I find it's most convenient to order felting supplies online (eg the Etsy shop I linked in the description). Lots of craft stores (Michaels) probably have felting stuff like wool and needles, but they won't stock any of the cute Japanese kits.
KawaiiDIY Inspiration Hello! In my Michaels there's no felting supplies or at Jo-Ann's. I've only found felting supplies at hobby lobby. Hope this helps! 😊
Hobby Lobby carries awful wool. It's good to use to experiment with to see if you'll like the craft since it's pretty cheap, but the quality is just....bleh. Hi! Try looking in most craft shops. They should have the basic felting supplies like needles, mat and wool. They won't sell the japanese kits, but all needlefelt pieces are easy to recreate as long as you have the right coloured wool.

This really is relaxing. I have troubles sleeping at night and your videos always calm me down enough to sleep :) Thank you!!
To me the dog looked a bit like a pop figure. Like if agree
I love your needle felting videos! I wish there would be a bit more of them. The dog is so cute and came together so well. ❤

I love the crunchy noise!!!!!!
Where do you get needle felt items? I'm in Toronto.
I can't shop online btw.
Hi! Try looking in most craft shops. They should have the basic felting supplies like needles, mat and wool. They won't sell the japanese kits, but all needlefelt pieces are easy to recreate as long as you have the right coloured wool.
Saira Mukami Daiso is also great for needle felt kits if there is one near you, other wise spotlight if there is one near you :)
Wow! Your needlefelt dog was better then the one on the package!
