I am 138 an still listening and my parents still listen to!
I'm 54 years old and I remember singing this song in school. We sang it in music class. I was in 4th grade and I went to a predominantly Hispanic school so it was what we sang to introduce us to Spanish as well as introduce the Hispanic kids to English. Wow, that was over 40 years ago.
This was my and my father’s song to dance to every weekend at polkas we attended. He is being laid to rest next week. This song will be playing.

1975 ..... I was in Bremen in Germany and listened often this song. I still listen it.
My grandmother loved this song and I remember her playing it when I was little and I would dance around the house with her. We played the slim Whitman version of it at her funeral in 1995.
