Bud said he’s after legacy (undisputed in 3 weight classes) or big mega $$$ fights. Boots doesn’t fit those goals. If Turki comes in with a bag to make that fight OR if Boots grabs a 154 strap, they will 100% fight. If you only had 2-3 fights left, you’d have the same goals. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great fight. But Bud has been clear about his career and it’s obvious that a Boots matchup does fit the script. Btw, the Bud Boots narrative only started because Spence lost. Nobody was asking for that fight before Spence lost
