Grab your Mega Everdrive Pro and start playing Sega CD games on your Genesis: stoneagegamer.com/sega/genesis/everdrives-flash-carts/plus-sega-cd/mega-everdrive-pro/?afmc=tbm
When burning games with low quality CD-R's/improper burn speeds, the model 1 Sega CD has some nasty grinding noises. See my video here to hear it: th-cam.com/video/VblWaUDd7_Q/w-d-xo.html
I wish I understood how to do all this but don’t want to waste peoples time asking a bunch of questions. But in the end… you can play any Sega CD game on the Nomad? The CD version of Adventures of Batman and Robin? I grew up playing that game and bought a Sega CD console just to play it. I’m close to pulling the trigger on a Nomad after seeing your videos and your posts in the FB group
It's really that simple, man. Just make a folder on the SD card dedicated to Sega CD games, and make sure you have the right BIOS files. Don't worry about wasting anyone's time, man! The only way to find out is to do some research, and that includes asking questions! I make these discussion videos just for that reason.
I don't think it works like that. I believe they're compressed into a format that the flash cart can read. It's the Genesis and the Everdrive that's doing the work, but you could always burn the WAV/MP3 files to a CD and then put them in your Sega CD if you just wanted to listen. Don't forget that the console is also a legit CD player!

8:55 the "grinding" noise is related to the Sega Dreamcast. The model 2 Sega CD is nice and quite. At least from my experience.

I have decided to sail the high seas with this beautiful piece of hardware. (Also Sonic CD portability WAHOO-)
You won't regret it man. It's a great piece of hardware!
It was sold in Canada too
Good video Travis B.

i've always been curious, could you somehow burn one of these md+ roms (with modified audio) into a cd and play them on your sega cd system?

I have the Mega everdrive X7 I love it! I would upgrade to the pro or the offering by terra onion except for a severe case of Brokeassitus.
I sold my X7 for a decent price! This one is pretty much the last Genesis flash cart you'd ever need. That's a good reason to justify it 😃
@@travisbowmanmusic I'm quite convinced just broke.
I feel ya man. Sometimes you just gotta got rid of a few things that no longer spark joy
The Nomad is so awesome! But is it worth getting if I already own a Steam Deck?
I would say no now. Yes, 5 years ago when you could find a good for under $100.
Does the cartridge come with all the games?
You'll have to find your own games for it, but I believe there is a certain... archive out there somewhere.... ;)
No, but Google will help you find them haha
Tried doom out yet?
No, I thought that was only a 32X port? Can't do 32X on the Nomad even with an Everdrive. Need the hardware for it to work.
Oh no are you a professional. If not owning this is illegal. Lol 😂
