WoW!!!
I love, love, LOVED to hear about the perfumes you gave away to the radiogirls ❤🎉😊
@@itsmeGeorgina Thank you for that sweet comment!
Just on here to say I just got Private Collection and the initial spray is a relaxed Safari to my nose! So relaxed.
Twinning! I bought the Houbigant Iris de Champs edp this year too. It was going for a great price in one of our local groups. Ive had my eye on it for ages but even at discounters it’s quite pricey in Australia in the $200-$300 range. I’m super happy with it and like to layer it under other things too. I would love to try the extrait one day. Nice to see you Kicki, wishing your lip a speedy recovery!
Didn't know there was an extrait version! Is Australia really expensive when it comes to perfume in general? Or is it just some brands? I heard that the brand J-Scent is really cheap in Japan, like 40 percent of the price compared to what Lucky Scent charges. So you need to take the opportunity while traveling. Thank you for your sweet comment about my lip💋
I absolutely love the concept of perfumes released in archetype pairs. I’m sure smelling them in Canada would be very difficult, but I adore the concept.
I have a handful of old L’Artisan fragrances in the old bottles. Some of my first niche loves.
I know! Also makes it easier to remember the names.
I also had the chance to smell pure Iso E Super at Tomas Hempel's workshop (if you are in Stockholm and haven't done it yet, I highly recommend the experience, even just for smelling all the raw materials it's worth it!, I think it goes by the name Bottle and Collect or sth similar). Iso E Super instantly reminded me of Mojave Ghost by Byredo which I then wore excessively for a while (since then got tired of it), and you should definitely check out Escentric Molecules 01 too which is basically Iso E Super.
Will check out that place, thank you! Molecule 01 I can hardly smell at all. Molecule 01 + iris worked on me, though. Wouldn’t go and buy a bottle, though.
I really wanted to hear your thoughts on putting frag on skin/chemicals that you discussed with a perfumer. Feels like it could be its own video
Eau de Pod. It is in Swedish!
The podcast sounds amazing! How sweet of you to gift some of your fragrances!! Private Collection is one I used to wear, it is like no other. I I.do wear Houbigant Quel que Fleurs, even though when I first spray, it is very pungent, it dries down beautifully. I would love to try their other fragrances.like the Iris, and the Orangers en Fleurs. It’s cold here in the Chicago suburbs, so I decided to wear Files de Berlin, Serge Luten. ❄️🥰
I couldn't wear the Orange En Fleurs because of some disturbing note, maybe nutmeg. No sure. I loved 90 percent of the formula, but just couldn't shake that note off.
Private Collection is so good! I tried Iris des Champs when I was trying to smell every iris I could get my hands on and wasn't wowed. I do like vetiver in perfumes with my main vetiver forward perfume that I always loved being Encre Noire by Lalique. Last time I wore it I noticed how sour I perceived it on my skin so now I am sad. I will give it another go before I make a full judgement on that one. I think sourness is just a part of how vetiver can smell and I never really noticed that aspect before. oxJulia
Have not noticed any sourness from vetiver, but rose and citrus together can go really sour and also leather. Iris des Champs grew on me. It is not a real wow, because of its simplistic beauty. It is pretty basic. But I love it for what it is.
I had recently picked up a bottle of private collection, looks just like yours. I wish it was as green as the reviews had indicated. I found it was green at first but then quickly transformed into a mixed bag of which the greenness was a smaller role. Ultimately it became a powdery and soapy aroma in more of the old fashion sense. I think it’s a very huggy, motherly scent. Some had compared it to vent vert which I have still yet to try. I am hoping that one is full on green.
Iris des Champs is very nice!
Since I am so nostalgic about Private Collection, I probably cannot review it as well. For me it brings back memories and makes me feel a special way.
What is the name of the podcast? Thanks!
Oh estee lauder private collction i love that one! I just went to go spray it to re-smell it 😁
That takes me back... Love it!
Nice light & picture today 👍🥁
I got a quater bottle Quel que fluers by hobigant a couple of weeks back, because i heard Dita von Teese say she loved it. I didnt know Princess Di did, now i'll enjoy it more, hehe
Both Originale and Royale are beautiful fragrances. Quelque Fleurs has a couple of flankers, I think. The one I had was Royale in a pink bottle.
I think that champs in french meant fields.
Haha, I am sure you are right. Laughing at my interpretation😆
