Back in elementary, we had this African dance/African cultures class. The instructor (I have long forgotten her name, but she) was Sudanese and, with her, she brought what was seemingly the entirety of her culture. Each week was something completely mind opening, from the dances we would perform at the end of each quarter, to the clothes, songs and instruments, and relics of ceremony just to name a few. It was absolutely inspired, and despite how foreign of a culture it was to my own, there was something profoundly homely to it all.l, as if I had found a part of myself long lost. I had taken those classes from ages 6-10, and although it’s been almost 20 years since I first started, the impact those classes had on me have never left
We need relaxing music in these times where the music is not befitting the souls but self idolatry and money. With hate and crimes , anger and negative vibes we need this relaxing 😌 music back in our main stream radio and Stores, malls, restaurants..
