It's looking more likely that Sofia will take over all of CA' historical titles going forward and the WH team stays where it's at. Boost Sofia's team, give them a proper budget and I think the Historical titles will be in good hands. They just need to completely ditch the Saga release style. No more pulling from a whole bunch of teams, just so Sofia can come in and fix it.
@@Jabsy101source? CA has directly stated that CA sofia will be working on wh3 in the near future and they are currently working with the main team on wh3's next dlc. @@Weberkooks I didnt say they are taking over historical titles, I said it's likely they will. Lethality is a good idea. I think they would have faired better by improving unit stats translating to animations and combat effectiveness. Implementing a "unit behavior" mechanic would take lethality to a more dynamic kevel. Becuase a units behavior can be impacted by multiple ingame factors that would make both battles and campaign progression more immersive. Combined with attack, defense skill, armour, and weapon type, unit behavior compliments this system by organically integrating unit animations to depict that behavior, which in turn effects battle style. Units with a "timid" behavior have weak charge, and are better used for defending than attacking. Units with a "brute" behavior are head strong, and fight with little regard to orders are formations. They have high attack, but risky as they can be glass cannons. This would also give devs so much creative freedom with programming specialized forces with unit attack patterns, thus offering that so needed diversity in factions. Becuase similar units could have polar oppostie behaviors depending on what faction, or traditions the player chooses.
If I remember correctly there was hate for the game before it was even announced officially. So no matter how Pharaoh was released it wouldn't do good because the majority community wasn't willing to give it a chance even if the Dynasties version was the release version. I am one the few hundred to thousand players that continued to played and hoped that game would be expanded when most of the community was willing for it to cease to be work on or never played it at all which is most of the historical community.

why no one mention that AI in battle is worse than Base pharaoh game ? Damnn I play original pharaoh and i can instantly felt A.I in battle is much better than Dynasties . Those who read this can just try making comparison in siege and minor settlement.
Congrats for your dedication ! What do you think of the state of yhe games past turn 50-80 did the AI build à big empire so we can have some clash of the titans ? Because i am at turn 21 with Troy and im eating small kingdoms and the Hitties are in a civil war ... so nothing in center anatolia...do you have any idéa on how the AI developp ?😊
From what i've seen playing Ramses, Babylonia and Mycenia respectively conquered most of the Egean and Mesopotamia. So the AI seems totaly able to build large empires.
I see Dynasties as CA Sofia's way of saying "We had something special planned but CA HQ screwed us and screwed you, so the best we can do is give you a taste of what might have been." The best thing that CA can do for Total War right now is invest in Pharaoh DLC with earlier alternate start dates and a 'Forge a Legacy' mechanic that has people like Thutmose III, Hatshepsut, Akhhenaten, and Ramesses II, (also Ahhotep I, Ahmose I, and Apepi) as playable characters. There's probably some well-known savages and barbarians out there as well. Not having any of these people as playable characters hurt sales of the base game. CA has an opportunity now to fix their mistake and add many of the most well-known Ancient Egyptians (and filthy foreigners) into the game, people with the A-Lister Name Recognition to draw in new players.
They could do that, but they could also move a little bit later in timeline and include campaigns such as: Kushite Invasion, Assyrian Conquest of Egypt, Kingdom of Judah or Israel, Alexandrian Conquest of Egypt, and other campaigns that start a little later.
Great video! Sure is annoying when a game you plan on covering flops. Happened to me with Homeworld 3, I think there's also a lot of opportunity to cover games that flop as well because if everyone makes videos bashing it then you have the positive audience all to yourself.
Medieval 3 would need an atilla-esque art direction as well as atmosphere. So, I don’t think Sofia looks for the hyper realistic approach. I’d rather main CA make that.
They remove family tree, some real world diplomacy, The blood, the goreness and the physics of the game on pharaoh; they return those on dynasty. So, maybe they saved it??..
