I hope for twenty years anniversary Placebo will do something of special with this song, I remember the lunch time of this song, and I'm still here listening.
While it may not be full of rapid quick beats and thunderous booming vocals, it really is a truly beautiful live performance, better than the audio version. There is a very very good reason why Bowie and Robert Smith (The Cure) wanted to perform with them. Truly a hidden gem. xx
Ben Brennan I was there too. The whole show was amazing. Robert Smith's duet was meant to be bowie but he wasn't well so Robert stepped in. Great show. Love them to this day!!
great quality! i wish it was the same for 'boys don't cry', the duet with robert smith from the same concert, but the only video existing is embarrassingly awful...
They should have filmed this entire concert professionally and released it as a DVD like the Soulmates live in Paris gig, this was arguably their greatest ever performance and the moment they shared on stage with Robert Smith for Without You I'm Nothing and Boys Don't Cry was such an iconic moment, ok would have been even more so had Bowie not been forced to pull out because of illness but Robert Smith was a fantastic backup option! ❤️
