Fun fact: England’s EAS has never been activated before because we haven’t had severe bombing since the air raids in 1939 to 1945. And we dont get severe weather down here like tornados, but some time ago there was a small tornado over at a beach like 30 minutes from me and I thought that if the EAS equipment wasn’t working, they could possibly improvise and use the air raid sirens from WWII

the voice in the Egypt one genuinly scares the shit out of me. not because it's frightening, but because of the editing, it appears out of nowhere. also as a next-door Midwesterner i totally agree with the tornado siren part. we don't get them as often, but with how often we in Indiana test our sirens, you would think we are in Tornado Alley.

Argentinian translate: "National Emergency, this is not a drill". I live in argentina and have never heard that in my entire life, however if that alarm is real i would shit it all out, man thats scary

Also fun fact: we all know Chicago’s broken siren… has been perfect for a certain living two headed siren creepy pasta that my 3 year old brother loves to talk about all the dang time.

Imagine sitting in your kitchen in Egypt, hearing that, looking at your friend saying “Hold on Rachel, stuffs bouta get real.”

I've been told that the Chicago siren was meant to sound eerie because it's harder to sleep through? As for police sirens and such, it's easier to get used to. With this siren, it's harder or something idk

Honestly i think the more annoying ones would be the ones to reach someone’s attention quicker. It seems to be a more ear catching technique.
