◆Story Introduction
Under the leadership of Sacred Queen Calca, the Roebel Sacred Kingdom enjoyed an era of peace, protected behind their great walls. However, that peace was easily destroyed by the sudden appearance of the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth and the attack of the Demi-Human Alliance. Though the grandmaster of Roebel Sacred Kingdom’s Sacred Paladin Order, Remedios, and the high priestess, Kelart, gathered their forces to retaliate, they could not overcome the overwhelming difference in Jaldabaoth’s power, and their kingdom is now on the verge of collapse. Remedios travels with her order and her subordinate, Neia, to a certain kingdom in hopes of gaining power to counter Jaldabaoth. The name of that kingdom is Sorcerer Kingdom Ains Ooal Gown. It is a grotesque nation ruled by an undead and despised by those of the Sacred Kingdom-

Volume 12-13 of this LN is probably one of the best LN volumes out there. I reread it so many times and now it's time to watch it on the big screen.

I believe this applies to shows and anime as well, but I wouldn't worry about Overlord when it comes to this as they've frequently taken their time and given us the best possible product. Though, I can hardly contain my excitement for when it eventually does come out!

@@kek651 Also, it's a wonderful self-contained story. At this point the light novels are still not quite finished yet. As good as the anime though, the novels these are based on are peak fantasy novels. The anime doesn't really have time to dig into the worldbuilding or the nuances of the story. The anime is pretty much a just the highlights version of the story.
The holy kindgom arc was so well done and self contained it would feel like an out of place speed bump in any season the LN was great but getting the amount of world building into a season that holy kingdom into a season especially after where SE2 ended would have been a pain.@@aopet7615

I’m so excited this movie adapts one of my fav arcs can’t wait to watch this on the big screens.
My favorite arc. I was wondering why they skipped it while the season aired, but i was happy with the upcomming movie. Its an arc that deserves a movie
@@martinbergen2963favorite arc for me too. I figured they were going to skip it and actually did hope that they would in favor of a movie. Overlord seems to adapt 3 volumes for each anime season. This arc was 2 volumes, so anime would have ended up in a weird spot if they were to follow their 3 volumes to a season ratio. I was worried they would end up doing something silly with the plot in an attempt to work around this. So, a movie for this arc was the best option in my opinion. It also allows them to follow focus on one arc.
I love how the narrative went from first person protagonist figuring out the world he's now stuck in, to that of a comprehensive documentary or novel turned series.
I see it as a sort of anthology of the new world inhabitants with Ainz as a reoccurring character. Lots of characters get introduced, get killed off, or fade into the background after a volume.
I was waiting for the overlord for a long time, can't wait to watch this film ❤ overlord is one of the best anime of all time.

It’s a cringey mid anime about an irl loser trying to live out a harem in a world where he and his little posse are undeniably the strongest in the kingdom. To call it one of the best anime of all time inherently means he either doesn’t watch much anime or appreciate what even constitutes a good anime. It’s not even matter of taste ahaha

@@delsintm691in a previous showcase of the movie they had some slides of their artistic representation of wrath. He looks a lot like the anime form with some more added bits, but I'm sure I'll have some more flair in the actual scenes
