That's fantastic. I never attended Makerere University but I so happy that this historical building is restored. Happy to know that a water sprinkler system has also been installed which should be part of the building code for every public building in use.

Would be nice to know why, in the country's leading university, nobody had the foresight to install these fire-suppression and security equipment in the building before the fire. One also wonders whether the other buildings on the campus are similarly protected. One hopes the 20 billion was the legitimate cost (wouldn't hurt to audit, would it?) and one hopes that there was value for money in this restoration.
