I'm relieved to know I can swap out parts of weapons at any time and that what I've crafted won't be permanent. Even with how straight forward this video is, I think the crafting system is something I'll better understand hands-on myself rather than watching videos. Never having played the Fallout games or other games like them, the complexity of the crafting is very new to me. That's also because I tend to just use weapons as they are in games rather than crafting my own (like in KoA, I'll just use the weapons I find and add stones to them for certain buffs rather than just making weapons from scratch). While I'm tempted to pre-order it, I think I'm going to wait until it's been released long enough to get reviews, particularly on PS4/5 so I can better see how it'll perform on consoles and such. I've been following the game since 2018, so I'm very excited all the same.

I could really go for a fun & light hearted looty shooty/stabby with interesting biomes and (fingers crossed) a bit of wacky & silly humor.
I feel the same way. So far it looks like it could be a very skill based rpg. Could be something you won’t perfect until the second or third play-through. Assuming it’s a very replayable game.

@@crepooscul he is right. The animation is pretty similar to 2000' era n64 games. If you pay close attention you'll notice that the movement is a bit odd, slow, like moving in thick air. Must be similar coding. The graphics are good, it's just that the programming of the movement is old in a sense. This is not a bad thing. It's just what it reminds me of. This game has a lot of details.

Since the game was first announced I’ve had a deadly premonition type vibe for it in terms of the devs shooting for the stars and having a ton of heart but the game is actually kind of a mess. Im tempted to preorder it too lol
Different parts have different qualities and upgrading a weapon fully at a workbench does not mean all the parts are fully upgraded, only that the sum of the parts equals the highest upgrade level. To truly upgrade a weapon fully, you will need to dismantle the weapon and check each of its parts and then combine parts that aren't fully upgraded with lower quality parts and upgrade those. Ultimate weapon parts that don't have a quality are useful for combining with parts that still need upgrades as they will only display the qualities of the non-ultimate parts. Attachments can be upgraded separately like this as well. However, upgrades to an attachment are extremely costly compared to weapon upgrades, so you will want to upgrade your weapons without attachments and only spend the resources to upgrade attachments found later in the game that you are sure you want on your weapon.

I just did not like the recycled maps. After 3 or 4 hours playing I remember vividly the disappointment that they basically recycled the same maps with some different visuals sometimes. Seemed pretty lazy
Cant wait for the Fextralife review! BioMutant looks really nice cant wait! The only thing that turned me off was that kind of minimalistic UI visual style. This kind of style peaked i would say a few years ago were every developoer made their UI look as minimalist as possible ending up with just white lines and white shapes. For reference the UIs for Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2 are so effectivly stylized that they add so much atmosphere to the game. The UI in Biomutant had more potential to add to the world/atmosphere even the lore.. just my thoughts.

Most of them start off fun and get quite boring with little variation in what you are doing. Everything looks good for Biomutant but I hope it does not falter in the same way so many other open world games do.

@@themarkham123 If they do NG+ like most RPGs do it, then I would expect to keep nearly every item from the previous run except for story/quest critical stuff. Given the amount of crafting, who knows how much stuff will actually be critical, as you said. I am excited that they're doing NG+ and I'm curious to see how it'll affect my character's stats and such.
I see it's coming out on pc and I don't actually own a controller but it seems most things shown are with a controller so how likely am I to figure out if Mouse / keyboard feels good before it comes out?

PC using Xbox controller. I've seen a little bit of PS4 gameplay on another channel or two. I haven't looked for any confirmed Xbox play simply because I'll be playing it on the PS5 if I get it. I'm glad there's been some PS4 footage though, and the game should run a bit better than that on the PS5 even without being optimized for it (just for PS4 Pro).
@@shazza4360 From what I saw it looks good. Can't tell the fps and it doesn't say. It's PS4 Pro enhanced, so it might be able to hit 60. I honestly can't tell the difference. Bloodborne runs great on the PS5, but I know on a PS4 there are some framerate drops are certain points. I'm going to wait until I see confirmed hands-on PS footage to see how it performs.

Apparently one of the devs has confirmed there is an easy mode, so I think there will be a set number of difficulty modes to choose from just based on that.
They don't have a copy of it. This is footage released by the devs to certain channels/sites. As far as I know no one actually has been hands-on with the game yet.

I really hope this game is as good as it looks. The builds could be crazy with players having completely different looks, armor, weapons, and vehicles then other players. Only a few more weeks.
is this game a looter shooter? for example after i beat the game can i keep farming for better gear to keep killing harder bosses or creatures?? or is this just a single player game that you beat once and move on? need some answer to this question thanks!

@@themarkham123 If they do NG+ like most RPGs do it, then I would expect to keep nearly every item from the previous run except for story/quest critical stuff. Given the amount of crafting, who knows how much stuff will actually be critical, as you said. I am excited that they're doing NG+ and I'm curious to see how it'll affect my character's stats and such.
Can you change the colors of armor/ clothes, or weapons?

I see it's coming out on pc and I don't actually own a controller but it seems most things shown are with a controller so how likely am I to figure out if Mouse / keyboard feels good before it comes out?
Is there any perk/ability that let's you acquire more EXP? Kinda like in Fallout 4 if you max out Intelligence from the start.

Man, you people really hate CP77.. this game has basically nothing in common with CP, why even have the need to mention that game under a video about Biomutant? .. one is open-world Deus Ex game, the other is a adventure RPG similiar to many games released in the 90's and early 00'

was the recent gameplay shown on pc? or xbox?
PC using Xbox controller. I've seen a little bit of PS4 gameplay on another channel or two. I haven't looked for any confirmed Xbox play simply because I'll be playing it on the PS5 if I get it. I'm glad there's been some PS4 footage though, and the game should run a bit better than that on the PS5 even without being optimized for it (just for PS4 Pro).

@@shazza4360 From what I saw it looks good. Can't tell the fps and it doesn't say. It's PS4 Pro enhanced, so it might be able to hit 60. I honestly can't tell the difference. Bloodborne runs great on the PS5, but I know on a PS4 there are some framerate drops are certain points. I'm going to wait until I see confirmed hands-on PS footage to see how it performs.

Apparently one of the devs has confirmed there is an easy mode, so I think there will be a set number of difficulty modes to choose from just based on that.

They don't have a copy of it. This is footage released by the devs to certain channels/sites. As far as I know no one actually has been hands-on with the game yet.
