I laughed throughout your video because of how true it is. Me and a friend made 2 crazy 8 hour each way road trips from Germany to Boleslawiec (because the first trip left us yearning for more, more, more). Once all the pottery I purchased made it back to the US, I calculated we had spent a whole lotta money on pottery. TOTALLY. WORTH. IT. We would go again and again. We called shopping for Polish pottery a euphoric experience. The vast array of stores, patterns, selection of pieces, laid out in no particular manner made the experience confusing, overwhelming, addicting and pleasurable and it makes you buy, buy, and buy more. Thanks for sharing.
Hello. I am from Poland. I am really sorry to hear that you lost so much money and everything was broken :/ Bolesławiec pottery is really expensive brand in Poland.. Good that you present both very positive attitude, no regrets, I admire this! :) on allegro.pl (Polish ebay) there is a lot of pottery to buy. Hope you insured those packages so you get some money back.. I also hope that you will visit Poland again but have a happy visit :) all the best to you both! Regards
Hi there, thanks for watching! Nope, we were not smart enough to insure our packages, but, I guess we live and learn. You kinda gotta laugh or cry, right? I still love all my broken bits, and I plan on one day making the most beautiful polish pottery mosaic!!!
oh my Lord...but once I ordered a mirror from allegro , it was well packed and marked- fragile and the mirror it self was bubble wrapped thick. AND STILL! I unpacked, unwrapped every thing and was one huge crack across whole mirror.😠 ...sorry to hear that guays😔
Good thing about it is that in the future archologists will discover these pieces among the other garbage and will be writing scientific elaborations on that and in them will be admiring how these primitive civilisations of the past could produce such sophisticating art. Btw the Polish word for fragile is "kruchy". But in posting it`s better to use the word fragile as it is international sign and is understandable by all logistic services.
