Its ashamed what they did to main street Took away all the parking, older people and Handicapped can no longer shop there too far to walk carrying something you bought every time I go down there hardly anyone is there Businesses are not doing good
@@JovetteTravels yes I have. They charge a small entry fee, but i think its worth it if you like history. There are artifacts from hundreds of years ago. Indigenous relics, and Spanish objects. There are a few movies that were filmed along the area you walked. Next time you should get a tour guide.
I live there during 80s and 90s. Main Street looks exactly the same. Except for that you can't drive on it now. That's super lame and i'm sure the shop owners don't dig it either . Ventura was always beautiful but it has always been a dead town. I don't understand why it's so pretty there. Nothing much has changed. I came back in 2010 and it was exactly the same now. 2024 exactly the same, the busy bee Cafe looks like it's still there. All the thrift stores in the church with the neat museum, The star lounge was there when I lived there. I lived up on 1st street right across from the old jail. The courthouse they called it blasinville. It's been torn down since then. My friend and I who lived there used to moon the prisoners as they turned into start their sentence. I know very immature anyhow. I lived there for 20 years right up the street from Main Street. Two blocks away fouur blocks from the beach, On Poli . I heard they tore down father San Juan during the b. L. M riot bull c*** anyway, nice video. But it kinda depressed me a little bit because it's still so dead LO.l
Love the rescue thirft love supporting them 😊❤😊❤
I'll be checking out those thrift stores in a video soon!
Nice video, but sort of depressing to see the lack of people downtown.
I know on Friday nights, Saturday morning, and weekday mornings it can be busy.

Ventura has great weather all year.
It sure does. Great weather all year!
Looks dead. They really did "Move Main St." Where'd it go?
They have a lot of people around during the weekends and Friday nights. New businesses are coming in.
At the Ventura Mission, did you mention that there is a museum inside the church?
Oh I didn't know that, I'll have to check that out next time. Have you checked that out?

The shop owners and restaurants like it They get more walk up business. There’s no parking when it’s open you still have to walk far.
This town is a joke
Ah man, the weather is great.
