I like this, and I like How you draw the characters, but I think this isn't how Connor would react. Connor is bitter, and he doesn't think his dad cares about him, and I bet he'd be angry. Larry thought that being mean to Connor would toughen him up, and Connor just thought Larry didn't care. I think Connor would be angry he didn't show he cared.
To be fair it's probably not actually Connor, but Evan's version of him.
Ghost!Connor sorting through unresolved issues before he can pass on and realizing his dad was trying to show him affection but it wasn't in a way he recognized
@@violetnocteI actually agree 100% with this, I was showing my gf the movie and how “Disappear” (from the musical) isn’t in it, and I initially told her that it’s Evan’s imagining of Connor’s ghost singing, and she was like “but what if it IS Connor’s ghost?!”… I later told her it WAS his ghost, but mainly to assuage her fears I guess 😆 I mean what is a ghost but some form of energy giving us a feeling (maybe sometimes enough to kill us or drive us insane?), but yeah Evan felt a deep enough connection to Connor to help promote a new foundation keeping his memory alive, and (political/moral justifications of the end of the movie/musical aside) isn’t that what everybody wants? To be remembered/to not disappear? Actually maybe the questions in the parentheses are what the playwrights actually wanted to ask us as society 😼
I understand the true meaning of this song. If you know someone who is or you are having suicidal thoughts tell someone. Even though it's hard it's the right thing.
Yeah, sorta. I feel like it’s more foreshadowing than anything as in saying “Admit what you have done, unintentionally”. Sorta way. Because it’s the hard way but it’s the right way. So yeah, I don’t know how to explain that better :D

@@Slow_Internet It's a bit of both in my opinion. For me, I feel the song mainly talks about getting better from mental illness, how it's hard, how you are going to get pissed off that it takes so long or you don't get instant results. But their is no shortcut in getting better and for every step you take, the results you see later are really compounded. But you can definitely also see it about how doing the right thing is hard but that doesn't matter, because what matters is doing the right thing so "Tell us the truth Evan".

Finalmente un animatic de esta canción? ya te estoy poniendo en un altar. LITERALMENTE NADIE hace animatics, fanarts o algo relacionado a esta canción, es tan infravalorada que ya incluso llega a dar tristeza? Es bastante buena y pegajosa y siento que se merece al menos casi el mismo amor que se ganan otras canciones como Sincerely, Me o For Forever.
Y sobre el vídeo. ¡Está hermosisimo! La idea es muy original y además de que hiciste el detalle de poner al Connor fantasma es algo que le agrega mucho más carisma al animatic. Aunque también, como lo mencionaste en alguna parte del vídeo, sí, deberías tratar de mantener un estilo de dibujo durante un trabajo así, aún considerando eso, puedo asegurarte que a absolutamente todos nos pasó, nos pasa y nos seguirá pasando, así que quizás deberías tratar de hacerlo, pero no darle tanto énfasis.

Esta canción y la parte del libro que relata esto me hace llorar y tener un nudo en la garganta. No se bien porqué piensan que el padre de Connor era un mal padre, yo no lo creo así. Intento estar con su hijo pero este lo apartó y siempre le quiso pero nunca lo demostró, ese fue un grave error de Connor, porque...porque muchos no tenemos un padre que nos enseñé a cómo aflojar un guante...
