In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' on our Patreon page (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). LOVE this review! I’ve only seen reviews of the older model and I really appreciate the technical information about its construction. Wasn’t sure what to get now that the bebé is much more mobile and capable and doesn’t need the fancy bassinet capable stroller but I’m sold on this one now!
Thanks so much for these reviews! I've watched this, and the comparison of the yoyo with the Ergobaby Metro. I'm now debating between the City Tour 2 or the Ergobaby Metro. Thoughts on differences between the two, and which would you recommend as a secondary travel stroller?
I personally prefer the City Tour 2 between these two. The Metro seems really good as well, but the engineering is a bit tighter on the Tour, and I also just trust Babyjogger designs a bit more since I've worked on a lot of their strollers, while determining what sort of problems the Metro might eventually develop is still hard at this stage.
I would advice to try them both, I bough the tour 2 and the design doesn't meet my needs, so I will need to do some fixings, to protect my son from falling out as tha canopy and headrest is only open and can be closed by velcro. That's just not going to work for us. And also I will need to buy some extra piece of some art, and keed under the backrest, so can make longer the sleeping position for my 94cm tall boy,as we rely on that when we out and he naps in his stroller, so ways try out and see what you are looking wanting in a stroller
Thank you for reviewing the mechanism of the Tour 2. We bought one 2 weeks ago to replace our Contour Bitsy that was damaged during gate check. I found that being brand new the Tour 2 front wheels rattle a lot and clank very noisily. Is that normal? Is there a way to tighten up something to reduce the noise? The Tour 2 does have very spacious seats and comfy leg rest and it drives nicely. But I found that the folding mechanism very stiff. I’m 5”1 and have small hand. It’s very difficult to trigger the top switch without two hands. It also get stuck a lot when unfolding. It requires a very big “throw” to pop out the stroller which is hard for my stature. It also doesn’t stand when folded, which I didn’t realise it’s so useful and important during travel. At the same weight and a lower price point, our old Contour Bitsy works much better in this regards.
The Tour 2 lacks front wheel wobble protection, unfortunately. Use a thick grease, preferrably Biral FIG to lubricate between the forks and the front frame. Silicon spray or WD-40 will help if the folding mechanisms are a bit sticky. I agree with the throw, I'm 6 foot, and it still takes a bit of force to cast it out into a fully upright position. From a mechanics point of view though, I do think these functional minuses are ballanced out by sturdier-than-average engineering, but I suppose I'm biased a bit in this respect from fixing too many shoddily-made strollers over the years :)
Thanks so much for your channel I find it very informative. I’m stuck between the city tour 2 and the ergo metro compact city. Im mainly planning to use it while travelling. What one would you recommend please?
Help!! When I go to fold my pram sometimes the handlebar section won’t fold in! I’ve got the 2 buttons engaged, but it won’t bend in :( Other times it works fine! Any idea what’s happening and how I can fix it??? 🤞🙏🏼
Please help with misalignment issues I'm having with top portion of folding mechanism. How can I take apart the top section of the folding mechanism with the rivets? The handle is slipping down and damaging the housing as it separates.
Thank you for this video. I can’t decide which choose this stroller or silver cross clic? What is your recommendation? I read reviews about silver cross and ppl complained that the seat doesn’t go straight positions and child are not comfortable. What about this one ? The seat is in straight position? Click is cheaper and has rain cover and belly bar incldeded in price. Jogger doesn’t. It’s so hard to choose. Please help
Thanks so much for the review! I really can't decide between City Tour 2 and City Mini GT 2, I travel 2-3 times a year. I live in the city area, and I would probably use the stroller mostly on pavements and sidewalks around my area. Please let me know which one would you go for?
Thank you for the useful video! I'm actually looking for a daily-use stroller which is also the lightest and smallest as possible, in order to work fine with our small-no-elevator apartment in Rome downtown. Would you recommend this model to use on a daily basis? Any other great suggestions?
What stroller did you end up getting? I’m looking for something convenient for daily use and also travel to Europe and South America (narrow and bumpy roads)
Hi, I am planning to visit istanbul from sydney soon and I am so confuse between mountain buggy nano and city tour 2. What do you recommend which one to buy?
Uppababy Minu is sturdier and better-built generally, but it's also bigger folded, leading to potential problems with many airlines if you're interested in taking it onboard as cabin luggage. So it sort of depends on how you plan to use it :)
Does this stroller have a universal carseat adaptor/seat belts that allow me to put my toddler's carseat on top of it? I'm also debating between this and the mountain buggy nano v3.. any thoughts between the two?
I really like this pram but I am not sure if it would be comfortable for me to push as the handle bar is not adjustable. I am only 152cm. Please can you tell me how high is the handle bar from the ground. Thank you.
@@maleehakazim4667 I went with the Uppababy minu v2 , no complains , it is very smooth to Maneuver and to fold , I took it to an overseas trip , no issues
I love your videos. I am set on buying this buggy due it's small fold up and lightweight but I wouldn't be using it for travelling. Is there another one you would recommend that may be a little more sturdy but still the lightweight?
Yes, definitely. If you don't need cabin-luggage dimensions, I would go with the Uppababy Minu for an ultra-compact, and also strongly recommend looking at the Joolz Hub, even though it is a tad larger. :)
Thank you so much for the reply. I do like the look and price tag of this baby jogger compared to the others recommended. Would it be OK for everyday use and occasional uneven surface journey (bumpy roads/grass).

Thank you for your review, I bought mine, but the handler is in unlocked position, means when I fold the stroller I don't need to press any button. How can I fix it?
I would first try some lubrication (wd-40), and trying to pull it open and closed a bit, and press the button some, to try to work the lubrication in around the internal mechanisms. If this doesn't work, you will probably need to disassemble the stroller to find out where the problem is. :)
This seems like a good option but it seems Baby Jogger is not very interested in supporting this product in North America. There are very few accessories available anymore. The only car seat adapter is for Graco. None for Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex. It's very disappointing. And I read on some forums that there used to be a newborn insert for it as well. Which doesn't seem to exist now either.
Hi, would you please compare the City tour 2 with the Uppababy Minu? Which is sturdier, better wheels and suspension and better on most grounds? Also which has deeper and comfier seat and recline for an older baby. Thank you
The Minu is better in all of these respects, it's just too large to fit as cabin luggage on 80-90% of airlines. If that's not an important factor for you, and you're looking more for a small-size daily stroller than a travel stroller, then you should also consider checking out the babyjogger city mini gt 2 and the Joolz Hub as well. :)
