Your videos are really awesome! I especially admire the patience with which you go through all the nuances of each feature you are demonstrating, taking time to address the topic at a really simple level.
Your LO Base videos can easily help a non-programming user to create an application and then enhance it.
A HUGE THANK YOU to you for all the time and effort that you are taking.
    Cheers!

Thank you this video is incredible. Now I can actually share a form and allow my collegues to help me with data capture on the mysql database.

Yes, the important thing to note is that you are connecting to a MySQL database, the default HSQLDB is meant for a single user only.

Hello. Thank you for these tutorials. Is there a way to lock down the forms so people can not edit them? They should be only able to add, edit or delete information. Is there a way to compile the forms?

This is the best tutorial series on YT. I wonder how many hours went into learning it and then making the videos?

Did this for two database files and it pulls up the data just fine. But it will not save any data that I add. I have to open the database and add the old way. Just as soon as I close LibreOffice the new data is gone. It does keep the data even if I have a different file open in Libreoffice, but when I close all LibreOffice files it goes away.

Great stuff. I've watched this whole series and have learned a lot.
I'm assuming one needs to have LibreOffice installed to use stand alone forms. Is there any way to compile a database for distribution that can be used by anyone, even if they don't have LO installed?

I was hoping to get a moment to try it, but I just don't have the time now. You can try the portable app version of LibreOffice (see my portable apps video 1 for more info) That may work, but I'm not sure - It's worth a try for those that don't have admin rights to their computer.

macros CAN be used in standalone forms.. just add macros to "my macros" so they'll stay available when working with standalone forms

      How would you do that?
I have a table in my spreadsheet. By going to data>forms, it creates a form for me. Are you saying there is a way to connect that to a button that a macro can call?

Hi! I've been watching your videos, they're great! Thanks for sharing this priceless info! Now, it's 2017, do you know if macros now work in standalone forms in LOBase 5, 5.1, etc.?

How do you add a field or that space at the bottom? I need these as sales forms that have to have a space for notes of when they were called, what the response was, etc.

Hy... I have a problem, I know that I can make standalone Forms in Libreoffice Base, saving as ods but stay connected to the Base database, but I can not find any way how to save a Report as external. If I save, stay with saved data if I change something in the base does not change, how do I save a dynamic report, or how do I find a direct link to base report, so that I can access it externally without going into the base? I have a Dinamic Report, whitch I use whit a Filter queri. And another question, watermark in Base Reports are possible, if so, how? Tanks ...

Hi Frugal Guy. Do you know how to create a form off of one record. I don't understand the tips at Apache. I have the database all set up but want to make an invoice from one record.

How different is this procedure if I want to export it into http file and host it in a web server?
I'm assuming the process is export to https, edit with libreoffice writer or form the https file, then the process of setting the file up as a intranet website
