After decades of literature, cinema, and educational efforts since 1945, it is disheartening to witness the culmination of a situation where the inexorable cycle of history appears to be repeating itself.
I feel like people tend to miss the other side too much. For the Palestinians, their argument is that they feel like the Jews in 1945. They have been put in a concentration camp from where they cannot leave i.e., Gaza. Their homes and land have been confiscated and they are discriminated against. No one talks about it. Then, when a bunch of their people throw a temper tantrum supposedly because they have had enough, everyone is collectively punished by being bombed. This is likely the perspective of the Palestinians and it paints them as a victim.
Israel is sure behaving like Germany in 1939, that's for sure.
