@@TarunSingh-bl5lh Here ego refers to the individual self. We think that we are this body, mind and thoughts but we are infinite soul. This is the toughest delusion to destroy. Bhishma had the boon to die at his own will; he died only when he had darshan of lord Krishna in all his glory. So same applies to us, we can only destroy this ego, when we are fully attuned with God. Read "God talks with Arjuna " by Shri Paramahansa Yogananda to study this subject more deeply.
