BEST TUTORIAL I’ve seen so far on how to wash deep wave hair!! ...First time buying this texture, so I was super nervous to wash it. However, since it is straight out the package, should I shampoo as well or go straight into conditioning?

“Co-wash” means conditioner wash or conditioner only wash. It’s mainly used on curly hair or hair that you don’t want to be shampooed often. For example, my daughter’s hair is very curly so to keep as much moisture as possible, I only shampoo her hair only once a week and “co- wash” it every other time in the bath.

Honestly the smell is still there even though it’s been shampooed, cowashed twice, dried and with leave in. The only pro about the actual hair is that this texture is really pretty but I’m hesitant to even wear it out bc I’m paranoid about the smell lol. Like i said though, I might have just reviewed a bad batch. I would just watch some more reviews and see what the majority of people say about the hair. Just bc I had a bad experience with this hair doesn’t mean you will.

Thank you! Yes the hair itself, looks wise is beautiful, but the smell can make or break it. UNice hair and Donmily hair have also been great experiences for me so far.
You can install straight out of the box. But cowashing helps get rid of any packaging smells and also helps you see the natural state of the hair after its wet and air dries. It’s really up to you, I personally just like to clean the hair bc you really don’t know what’s on it.
Different companies curly hair will act different after you wash it. Some will keep their curl, some will look different. This companies curly hair held up really well. And washing and conditioning won’t ruin the curls. You just have to make sure you’re conditioning the hair properly to maintain the health of the curls. “Body Wave” is a texture that usually doesn’t hold up as well after you wash it. But the curlier textures usually do.
There wasn’t too many issues. Just that one issue. And luckily I didn’t spend my money on it, they sent it to me so I’m saving all of you the headache.

can you detangle with a denman brush?
I actually find that a denman brush works really well to detangle quickly. I make sure conditioner is in it while I use it though.
Should I co wash after I dye the hair?
I would rinse out the dye and then let conditioner sit on the hair for about 10-15 mins to add the moisture back in after dying.
