This was probably the start of the marriage issues that plagued Pippa and Michael during 1994, coming to a head later in the year when they temporarily separated.
That’s actually exactly how it goes. Social workers try and keep the experience for the child as comfortable as possible and never speak in front of the child but absolutely sit down with the foster parents for a cuppa and chat about the child’s back story and what to expect how they may be coping etc. I feel like the only unrealistic thing about this whole situation is finding a foster family like this one. Not many people out there foster children in need out of selflessness, there’s usually an ulterior motive wether it be money or for them to get a leg up and majority of foster children go without ever knowing real love. It’s comforting to watch a show with a foster family that gave that love.
1994 was a good "cool down" year. Sandwiched between the emotional 1993 and the High Octane 1995. Dramatic stuff happened only no births, deaths, marriages this year.
Jack appears and I love him in each episodes.
Still love Home and Away after all these years, don't make them like these any more 🇮🇪
Awesome! I've waited years to see this again 👍
They should have foster kids being the focus of the show again.
💯
$90 groceries for 5 people, those were the days
$90 in 1994 is equivalent to about $197.37 today. People earned less in 1994. It's really not that cheap.

That and when Michael began wearing those skintight hotpants around the caravan park just after he found those gay porn mags in one of the vans.

Michael was a prick that's why
I love the way the people on this show were always surprised when foster kids had issues. And said issues always dissipated after the first few weeks
😂 Social worker decides to give foster parents child’s backstory as an afterthought over coffee. Only after being asked. Superb duty of care 👌🏽

I’m on Pippa’s side she lived in that house and was fostering long before Michael came along
Michael is in the wrong no matter what he does.
It's called a TV show. Calm down. 😆
Knocked a few out back in the day over Sally's fat knockers

I’m old 😂
Michael must’ve been the most disrespected character in the history of the show.
Jack was dunder head
Always, they should have chucked Jack out after this, just for a laugh.
So was Sally on this occasion
'The Department'
Or DOCS (Department of Childcare Services)
They used the exact same plot device in Prisoner. 'The Department'
@@harryricochet8134 Yes I always remember The Department, being spoken of a lot in Prisoner.
Are they running a child trafficking ring???
Forster care.
Some sick shit
