I love this song and I love the video, but in my opinion they tell very different stories. It was done with the best intentions, though, so I'm okay with it. And the power in Freddie's voice is astonishing.
Ok but seriously, in many ways this video shows the travel of HIV patients today. We can essentially inactivate it with a cocktail of pharmaceuticals. Some lucky few are even able to have it removed from them (probably, perhaps, but its not a fun "cure"). Freddie did not have that choice, the early HIV drugs were brutal. He decided to stop taking them, as did many patients. I the 80s and 90s it seemed to be a death sentence.

He wrote this 84 he was splitting up with winnie and left him for jim who said he went to see Freddie in munich but one of the days he said he spending a day with winnie and that was the last time he saw him He was with jom until he died after that

HEY Honey…. This is such a beautiful song! (I don’t like watching the video cuz it’s so SAD… which makes me feel immature or “selfish” in some way, since so many people - inc Freddie - had to go thru such a terrible ordeal.)
I love this beautiful love song, but I hate the video that changes the meaning of the lyrics what Freddie originally wrote. I know, that AIDS campaigns are very very important, but Freddie was such a private man, he didn't want to be a poster face to any campaigns.
