Thank you for this lovely video. I'm going on this ship in 2024 for a Transatlantic cruise and appreciate all the information and filming you provided. Cheers.
Just returned from our first cruise which was 10 nights in the Caribbean. We had a fantastic time and will hopefully be back on her soon for a Fjords cruise. There’s always plenty going on and plenty of places to sit and relax. We avoided the pool and surrounding areas as they were always very busy and you would need to get there early for a lounger. Food was excellent too in The Cuvee and buffet restaurant. Burgers from The Mast Grill were very good too so we didn’t pay extra for any of the additional charge restaurants. The other thing we liked was that it was very informal. We can’t wait until the next trip on Silhouette.
Although we were in Norway and not a hot climate like the Caribbean for this one, totally agree! We look forward to sailing on this class of ship again! Thank you for watching and providing your experience!
I just want to say thank you for your wise words. You made me feel like I was on the Ship with you.please keep up the good work talking and telling everyone about every part of the Ship.Have lots of fun on each and every ship you board.❤❤
If looking for a comfortable laid-back environment that’s a bit more traditional, we would go with Silhouette. If you prefer a more modern active atmosphere, Anthem would be the way to go.
I thought the Silhouette was updated recently. Was this video made before or after the upgrade? The revision of this Solstice class ship was supposed to bring the design closer to the Edge class of ships.
We sailed on Silhouette in August 2023. I understand she was updated in 2020 but we believe she would have a long way to go to modernize to that extent. Ship was definitely in good condition, but definitely not to the level of today’s more modern ship decors.
Celebrity seems to have decided that there is a better use than as a lawn. The Edge class ships have replaced it with the Garden area. There is still a lot of greenery but that's in planters. Most of the area is taken up by walkways and seating areas instead of grass.
@@OnaCruisewithWilandStephen I honestly am not a fan of the Edge class. This class has more social areas, more lounges, more elegant quiet spaces, more elegant decor in many areas (like the Martini Bar, for instance or the World Class Bar). Edge ships have more restaurants but a lot of the same ones and that Eden area but no library, card room, secondary theater. They improved the tech in the theater a lot. Overall, this is a more personal and elegant ship and the Edge are more trendy ships but something is lost and missing from the Celebrity total experience in those ships.
We don’t seem to find it too much overall. Seems like some of the newer ships are dedicating more space to suite areas than the older ships. Only one way to find out….. next cruise coming up! 😁
@@OnaCruisewithWilandStephen The Edge ships certainly reserve more space for suite passengers. They don't even have a Sky Lounge. A restaurant for suite passengers only is in the place of the Sky Lounge.
Excellent tour and well narrated! Thank you
Thanks for checking it out! More tours to come!
I appreciate that this was a quick tour. I would like to see the Aqua and Suite category cabins on your next video. Thanks for the great X video.
Yes. We hope to get experience those at some point! Thank you for checking out the video.
Thanks for the tour. I have a reservation for the Silhouette in February. Looking forward to it. 👍🏻
Oh excellent! Have an amazing time!
Fab tour. We recently enjoyed our very first cruise on Silhouette. So impressed. You are making me want to return 😀
We look forward to getting back on Celebrity too! Thanks for watching! More to come soon!

Nice tour. What ship do you prefer: Silhouette og Anthem?
For us it usually depends on itinerary but if based on ship alone Anthem would be it. The variety of activities and entertainment pushes it ahead!
Thanks. But for the ship only. Design and comfort?

We look forward to trying Edge class!!

Where were all the other guests? Looks sooo empty!
A bit of early morning recording! :)
The ship seems to have to many places just for suites
