I used a muscle soak this afternoon, it was sooo nice. I just finished my first marathon! I came in last place 😅 but I finished! I vlogged the whole thing, including plenty of complaining, lol.
Hi Lucy. I wanted to thank you for your inspirational posts. I am small and round and have never been able to run. I am working with a trainer and have gone for 20 second very slow jogs to 6 minutes today. I have goals and aspirations but your videos keep me on track. Thanks again.
Thank you for encouraging me to run again after a very long hiatus. I’m running/jogging very slowly but I am finally running! Your vlogs have helped immensely 😊
Hi Lucy, Seriously loving this style of running content. I had to accept that some days are gonna have to be cycle days too and afterwards I'm always happy that I did something. This is so relatable and encouraging. Thanks! 😊❤
Hi Lucy! Thank you for sharing your journey. I started running in 2020 and am currently training for my first half marathon in September! You are just the voice of encouragement I have been needing along the way 🤗
It's nice to see that you're just a normal person like the rest of us - work, life, fatigue - they all play a part! I'm on Day 6 of walking 10,000 steps per day for 10 consecutive days and I am not enthused about it today. But I've been going out for short walks to get my steps in. Almost there, little by little. I have soaked my feet with Epsom salts after long hikes. Not sure if the salts actually help but, if nothing else, the warm foot bath sure feels nice.
They all play such a huge part. That sounds like a great challenge! You got this!! 💪🏼 It’s hard to tell if the salts work isn’t it, but you’re right about having a nice soak. That always helps 😅
LUCY... I have rediscovered you again. I watched you in the past a bit when I wanted to get back into it. I Will cofess I have let my very demanding job and confessed food addiction be my excuses. But I NEED to get healthy and I have run a 5K that was in 2014 and it put a longing in me to keep going. But I am scared of failure. How did you do it how do you deal with the cravings and the constant wanting to quit .. one day at a time i reckon. But looking forward to getting back into it. Keep up the good work. 💯❤️🇨🇦
Lucy, did you notice any dip in your performance when you lost weight? I am unable to run as much distance as I could a few weeks back and I was wondering if the low energy, despite the recovery days, is from losing a bit of weight. Ooh and I love running in the rain, too! Thank you for sharing another lovely video.
It’s hard to say, there can be so many reasons why there is a bit of a dip in performance. I didn’t notice it when I was losing the majority of the weight. I’m sure it will be back to normal for you soon 🏃🏻♀️❤️
@@lucyshawvlogs You're right, there likely are other reasons. This month has been physically taxing for me otherwise as well. Thank you so much for your response. 💟

Congratulations on finishing your first marathon. Well done.
Congratulations on your first marathon!! 🥳 The next challenge for me after a marathon is getting up the stairs 😅
@@lucyshawvlogs Absolutely! I can barely move this morning
Hope you're feeling better! The tough part about running in the rain in summer is picking the right kit, but if you get it right it's great.
I am thank you 😊 Haha yes! I was very happy with my choice of shorts and a light top 😄

I use bath salts on a regular west lab are the best .Along with CBD soap after my bath i swear by them religiously.
This was the first time I’ve used bath salts. I’ll definitely use them again 😀
Keep up the great work you've done brilliantly
