TRUTH about "Hanoi" Jane Fonda - Forgotten History

- During WW1 and WW2 America's celebrities such as sports figures, actors and musicians joined the war effort supporting the troops overseas and most even enlisted in the military to serve in whatever capacity they could. During the Korean War, a few celebrities still served especially athletes although there was not the enthusiasm for the support as in prior conflicts. But Vietnam was completely different. Many celebrities actually condemned the military fighting the war as well as the government and presidents in office. But one actress took it to another level and she should have been tried for treason according to some. Who is Jane Fonda? Written and Hosted by Colin D. Heaton. Forgotten History is a 10th Legion Pictures Production.

You can feel how you want about any war or conflict, but the second you put the soldiers of your own country at greater risk of harm by siding with the other side, you’ve embraced evil. Those soldiers had no real choice in the matter. They didn’t want to be there, they didn’t want to kill other people (obviously there are outliers who were going to do horrible things) and telling them that they should give themselves over to become POWs is the kind of thinking you wouldn’t even expect from the most ideologically regressive people around, but there she is and even today, we have people who would side with even the more horrible people alive if the winds told them to.

I am a very proud American woman that is acutely aware that I enjoy freedoms that women in other countries will never know because brave men fought and died so I can live my American lifestyle. Jane Fonda never had to worry about being drafted. MEN have died so WOMEN aren't treated like chattel in this country, so even ignorant, over-privileged, entitled women like Jane Fonda can say what she wants, go where she wants, wear what she wants, marry who she wants, live the way she wants.
Ex except even words as well as actions have consequences. Being free means a level of self-regulation to not abuse that freedom. Which is what she did. You can go to North Korea or could have gone to the Soviet Union, but how you act there determines your intent. Tokyo Rose probably should not have gotten off so lightly herself, but she was in extenuating circumstances.
Fonda knowingly aided the enemy with their propaganda. That propaganda was then used to turn the American people against its soldiers. Not the government that ordered them there but the men who were thrust into chaos. I know this because my uncle fought in Vietnam. 3 tours. Was a POW on that last tour. He came home to some not so savory comments after having his knees crushed repeatedly. My friend's dad( who treated me like one of his own kids) was also in at the time but was at another base in another part of the world. He was constantly harassed and attacked physically and had nothing to do with the fighting.
You tell me how humane that is. People who had no ability to actually change anything. I want you to understand that neither of them mentioned Fonda to me. I had to read about what she did later. Freedom to say what you want and freedom to go where you want has implications of understanding that it includes no harm to the others around you. She did harm to others around her and by doing that technically forfeited her freedom. She's lucky to still have her freedom because North Vietnam or North Korea or China or Britain currently wouldn't allow her to speak the way she still does because they don't take anti-government speech very well.
That war was unjust and based on lies.
All those men who were drafted had no reason to be subjected to the horrors of war.

When I was an extra in the movie Gettysburg, I was with a lot of Vietnam vets. I was a pup of 16 at the time and was not in the know of the controversy surrounding her. When she started walking around set (Battlefield) she was ripped a new one for wearing a uniform jacket (frock IYKYK). When I inquired what it was all about, they gave me a detailed, and somewhat colourfu,l recounting of the events. Everywhere she went, she was addressed as Hanoi. I believe she actually left due to the deserved harassment she was getting but don't quote me. All that to lead up to the fact that I absolutely 100% believe that women should have been tried for treason.
Notice how Jane Fonda says she regrets being photographed on the anti-aircraft gun. Yet she has never apologized. My guess is that the only thing she really regrets is that it did harm to her movie career.
I was a kid during the Vietnam War. They drafted my older brother and sent him to Vietnam as a door gunner on a helicopter.
He told me to never serve the government in any capacity.
I don't think it's wrong to take a stand against the military industrial complex and the governments " war for profit." However, giving aid and comfort to the enemy and hurting those who choose to serve in the military is very wrong.
There was nobody who wasn't guilty during the war. I was sent off to fight a war that made no sense and was prosecuted for no good reason with the blessings of the American public. There aren't many people who understand what happened yet. The war was built on lies and the histories are lies.
I don't regret serving during that time and would do so all over again just not under a get rich administration that place zero value on American lives and played politics with a conflict that if handled like WWII would have been over in a couple of years. Worse yet was coming home to a nation that hated us for doing what we thought was right at the time. I have not trusted my government since Nam.
Thank you.
Her "apology" is very hollow. As a son of a Vietnam vet, I will always remember her TREASONOUS acts . She needs to be held accountable for the damage and harm she has done TO our Veterans .
She sat in the seat of North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun..posed for photos with her NVA allies.
That alone should have been enough for prosecution.
"Hanoi Hilton" American prisoners who refused to be photographed with her...were tortured.
Prisoners who secretly handed her 'notes for home'...she turned those notes over to the enemy.
Actually, the turning over of the notes never happened, that myth started many years ago. but her other actions are more than worthy of prosecution.
When is Trump going to apologize?
Agree completely. I speak as the wife of a disabled Vietnam veteran.
For what? Can we please keep made up politics out of something that killed over 50 thousand of our boys and damaged more than 200 thousand? The democrats ran this fiasco to line their own pockets. Thank you President Johnson.
Legend has it that Jane is still an insufferable propagandist to this very day.
you might be right.
I was a combat medic in Vietnam. The thing I hated about Jane’s actions is that men died after hearing her words in Hanoi. The last words they heard from an influential American is you are dying in vain. How sick is that.
Thanks for your service "doc". God bless you.
Thanks for your service
Thank you sir for your service!
I was a medic with the 101st in 69-70. Unfortunately, we did die in vain. All the "debate" about the morality of the war did was extend it so more people died in vain. We could see that at the time but the civilians who weren't getting shot at couldn't.
@@neilreynolds3858 I’ve hated Jane Fonda all my adult life. I went in the military after I graduated from high school while all my friends went off to college. When I got back from the war alive, they through a party for me but in reality I sat in a corner while they barged about all the fun they had in college. I lost contact with them until my 10th high school reunion in 1976. By then none of them matter anymore. But you know who does matter to this day? The kids I put in body bags in the hills around Kahn Sanh . We fought for each other and not for our country that did not give a shit about us. Thanks for your comment.
Protesting the war is a right. Aiding and abetting the enemy is treason!
jane should not have been allowed to return to the states
Hanoi Jane is a traitor and no amount of apologies, or how deep the regret will erase her actions.
"Hanoi Jane, phone home. Hanoi 555-5555".
There was less enthusiasm on the part of Hollywood with a few exceptions for the Vietnam conflict because the enemy were Communists.
I was around back then and narrowly missed being drafted into the Vietnam war myself. I was totally against the war, but I also loved my country and even though I was sympathetic to the anti-war movement I found the actions of Fonda to be absolutely appalling. Opposing the war was one thing, but treason is quite another and no mistake about it, this was treason. Back then, Fonda was a young communist and the only thing that has changed since is that now she's an old communist and she still hasn't learned when to keep her mouth shut.
At the very least she should have been denied re-entry. You want to go to the other side? Fine you can stay there.
Jane should be tossed into prison... now!
she is a traitor, I shall never forgive
Should have been prison for treason
She is still at it. CNN is her new bull horn.
Once a traitorous commie, always a traitorous commie!
She works with Communist Nonsense Network? I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
That makes sense the communist newsnetwork
The only thing she regrets is being photographed? Like a thief who got caught on camera.
My ex is a Nam Vet who said "Hanoi Jane's tombstone should be a working urinal and let all vets pay their respects to her, several times a day!"

But not the evil ones that sent him into that war??? I guess its harder to admit he was a dupe and took it out on someone pointing it out to him....

It's perfectly acceptable to be against war.....but it's another thing entirely to be a traitor to your country
What is a country though? It's a piece of Earth if you ask me. Which we ALL live on. Which should be the priority? Earth or one Nation of questionable origin?
You mean like the German officers who tried to kill Hitler?

Along With My Fellow Vietnam Combat Vet Neighbor,
She Was Despised As a Traitor Then, As Now.
She Always Was a Feminist,

To Any Society Embracing It!
She was and still is a traitor
Then go and arrest her then ? Stop whining and crying about it like a typical Amerian crybaby ..wahhhhh...
Exactly...A traitor.....lucky she lives in a 'tolerant' country. Imagine if she was Chinese, betraying the CCP....
The damage Jane Fonda not only supported but created is far beyond that of a traitor. She helped bring the open woke agenda and generational indoctrination of hate towards patriotism of America today. The U.S. constitutional republic has been taken from within. It was her work and many like her who helped this fall of our republic and the rise of the regime that is now taking over the world. You'll know I am right when you see America disarmed over this next decade.
She is quoted as saying when our robust and thriving economy was shut down..."Thank God for that virus"....referring to the Wuhan virus that was released by China. YES, indeed, she IS still a traitor.
Agreed.
I had the pleasure to block her from filming one of her exercise videos because myself and my employees refused to support her. I was in the military and watched her doing her treasonous acts in Vietnam. Not all of the people that worked for me were veterans but ALL refused to help her. A small victory for a few veterans.
I will not watch any movie that this traitor is in!
Thank you brother.
Good for you, buddy!
Would you have boycotted the American politicians that supported and voted for the Vietnam War?
Young, stupid actress who put alot of our soldiers during Viet Nam in harms way! No apologies on her part after all these years ,so Jane sleep well knowing you may well have put our young men & women during Viet Nam tortured & killed! You had a long life & enjoyed such freedom. Shame on you Jane!
