TRUTH about "Hanoi" Jane Fonda - Forgotten History

  • During WW1 and WW2 America's celebrities such as sports figures, actors and musicians joined the war effort supporting the troops overseas and most even enlisted in the military to serve in whatever capacity they could. During the Korean War, a few celebrities still served especially athletes although there was not the enthusiasm for the support as in prior conflicts. But Vietnam was completely different. Many celebrities actually condemned the military fighting the war as well as the government and presidents in office. But one actress took it to another level and she should have been tried for treason according to some. Who is Jane Fonda? Written and Hosted by Colin D. Heaton. Forgotten History is a 10th Legion Pictures Production.

    You can feel how you want about any war or conflict, but the second you put the soldiers of your own country at greater risk of harm by siding with the other side, you’ve embraced evil. Those soldiers had no real choice in the matter. They didn’t want to be there, they didn’t want to kill other people (obviously there are outliers who were going to do horrible things) and telling them that they should give themselves over to become POWs is the kind of thinking you wouldn’t even expect from the most ideologically regressive people around, but there she is and even today, we have people who would side with even the more horrible people alive if the winds told them to.

      I think it’s treason too, but there is a gray area when Congress has not declared war, and protecting the innocent is more important that getting the guilty.
      A good case against Fonda is made by the Holzers in their book “Aid and Comfort: Jane Fonda in North Vietnam”
      That she was not charged just reflects the divisiveness of the war, and the possible shakiness of the case. Needed more public support to push this case.
      I think that’s the whole truth. And I am a strong anti-Communist.

    As a Vietnam War Veteran who served 1967 -1968. Jane Fonda should have been tried for Treason and for giving aid and moral support to the enemy, period. Protesting a war is not treason. I am a very proud American woman that is acutely aware that I enjoy freedoms that women in other countries will never know because brave men fought and died so I can live my American lifestyle. Jane Fonda never had to worry about being drafted. MEN have died so WOMEN aren't treated like chattel in this country, so even ignorant, over-privileged, entitled women like Jane Fonda can say what she wants, go where she wants, wear what she wants, marry who she wants, live the way she wants.

    • @sgt_s4und3r54
      @sgt_s4und3r54 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ex except even words as well as actions have consequences. Being free means a level of self-regulation to not abuse that freedom. Which is what she did. You can go to North Korea or could have gone to the Soviet Union, but how you act there determines your intent. Tokyo Rose probably should not have gotten off so lightly herself, but she was in extenuating circumstances.
      Fonda knowingly aided the enemy with their propaganda. That propaganda was then used to turn the American people against its soldiers. Not the government that ordered them there but the men who were thrust into chaos. I know this because my uncle fought in Vietnam. 3 tours. Was a POW on that last tour. He came home to some not so savory comments after having his knees crushed repeatedly. My friend's dad( who treated me like one of his own kids) was also in at the time but was at another base in another part of the world. He was constantly harassed and attacked physically and had nothing to do with the fighting.
      You tell me how humane that is. People who had no ability to actually change anything. I want you to understand that neither of them mentioned Fonda to me. I had to read about what she did later. Freedom to say what you want and freedom to go where you want has implications of understanding that it includes no harm to the others around you. She did harm to others around her and by doing that technically forfeited her freedom. She's lucky to still have her freedom because North Vietnam or North Korea or China or Britain currently wouldn't allow her to speak the way she still does because they don't take anti-government speech very well.

    When I was an extra in the movie Gettysburg, I was with a lot of Vietnam vets. I was a pup of 16 at the time and was not in the know of the controversy surrounding her. When she started walking around set (Battlefield) she was ripped a new one for wearing a uniform jacket (frock IYKYK). When I inquired what it was all about, they gave me a detailed, and somewhat colourfu,l recounting of the events. Everywhere she went, she was addressed as Hanoi. I believe she actually left due to the deserved harassment she was getting but don't quote me. All that to lead up to the fact that I absolutely 100% believe that women should have been tried for treason.

    I don't think it's wrong to take a stand against the military industrial complex and the governments " war for profit." However, giving aid and comfort to the enemy and hurting those who choose to serve in the military is very wrong.

She helped bring the open woke agenda and generational indoctrination of hate towards patriotism of America today. The U.S. constitutional republic has been taken from within.
