I love that everyone’s opinions are very much all over the board this year. For me Darkest Deal and Monsters are the standouts this year. My Darkest Deal run through last night was one I will never forget. Top 10 of all time for me. So exciting to see all the different experiences and opinions.

This is my second time and I did an RIP tour and my experiences in the houses were vastly different from yours. I rank mine as 1. dueling dragons, 2. Stranger Things, 3. universal monsters, 4. yeti, 5. last of us. 6.,Exorcist, 7. darkest deal, 8. Oddfellow . But blood moon and Chucky were 9&10 for me. I agree, however, there were many good houses in my opinion, for HHN and I think they put together a great lineup and I had a great time. Thanks as always for Great Videos!👏🏼👍
I also agree that this is a super solid year for HHN all around! I think, for me, all the IPs were pretty good and there was so much love put into the originals as well. Great video!
I completed all ten houses on Wednesday, and did universal monsters, exorcist, and dueling dragons on Thursday. Was going to do chucky or blood moon but got tired of walking. Favorite ip house last of us. Fav original house yeti.
Vincent, love your videos but I couldn’t watch this one because of spoilers. I can’t get there until last week of Sept and first week of Oct. Would love to hear your breakdowns and opinions but I don’t want to get things spoiled. I wonder if you’ll have time to do more of your thoughts minus spoilers? Thanks. I’m a subscriber.
I feel like the Chucky house is failing a bit because they didn't lean hard enough into it. There should have been fewer screens and more kill vignettes, even if the Chucky dolls were totally static. Just make the thing gory as hell. The scare zones are kinda disappointing this year too. The costumes are amazing, no shade, but the zones themselves feel too sparse and empty. Even Jungle... normally the park zone is super well themed and full of stuff to look at, but this year the best they could do was some luggage and those weird little tent things that are so obvious there's someone hiding in them?
I should’ve been more specific…I don’t think a show in that style will exist again, or at least not for a very long time. Universal is just starting to work on something for the lagoon show that quietly went away early this year but we have no idea what it entails
It’s interesting to hear that all of the houses except for Chucky are kind of in the same tier. I guess that means none of them are expected to break out and transcend this year.
Chucky had such an improvement from my initial trip in September to when I came back in November. They really enhanced the house to where it was a good mixture of scary and funny. This was a house that I think just needed to figure out timing as it dealt with a lot of puppets and scare actors. Loved seeing the giant Chucky’s!
This is the first full year without the water show and you think we’ll never get it again? Lol if that were the case they would have removed the building projectors and the projectors that put images on the water curtains. The fountains will be back!
Chucky is just not a horror IP at this point, dude is more of a dark comedy. They managed to make a classically scary concept, possessed children’s toy, and just made it not scary. Imo he’s always been a terrible IP for this event, and I say all this as someone that actually likes the Chucky movies. There are scarier slashers, there are scarier possessed dolls, there are funnier concepts to pursue for an out there idea for a house.
I think Chucky needs little people actors. I’m not thinking you can pull it off with puppets and animatronics and dummies. I really think I remember little people portraying Chucky in an HHN Chucky house from a few years back. There aren’t really enough roles for little people actors so it seems a miss for them too. Like that stupid Disney remake of Snow White everyone is hating on and rightfully so. They eliminated the 6 of the dwarves, I believe and actors who could have played them are justifiably upset. I think people are trying to e so pc that they are actually doing disservice to people. If anyone is offended by the parts then they won’t audition. I think this house is hurting because of this oversight.

My experience has nothing to do with it! It’s all just my personal opinion, which can change…and it already is!
