Nah Legolas never Loved Tauriel, they had more of a friendly relationship. Just because he said he would die for her doesn't mean he loves her in a romantic way. Remembered that he said a similar thing in lord of the rings when gimli was threatened. He is just a very noble elf with a strong morality that he is ready to die for.
I loved Kili, and I sobbed when he died. However... I believe Legolas deserved better. After everything he did for Tauriel, she still didn't love him..
