Use 720p for better text clarity. ~~World Record~~ from 6/17/2014 to 8/2/2017. using SDA timing (load times removed, time starts when gained control of character and ends when losing it. You lose control when you get within a radius of Azura). This is the same timing used in the old 4:19 and 7:30 runs on TH-cam.
I got this run a couple months ago and never bothered to upload until now. I guess I'm happy with this time. There were a few small mistakes, though. 3:05 is possible and I'll try to get that one day.
Most of the time saved over my previous 3:41 run is due to the "lockpick instant kill" glitch. The rest comes from better execution and minor route changes.

PSA: "noclip" on the right side of the screen is a joke. There are no cheats used in this run. I'm just abusing broken mechanics built into the game, which is perfectly fine within the speedrunning community. If you use levitate as high speeds you can go through walls.

And that's why 97% of the people that played any ES game, NEVER read any books, notes, journals etc. I was the only one who spent 2 f*cking hours in the imperial city library in Oblivion reading all the crap, even if I already read those books in Morrowind and Daggerfall.
I always collect and read all the different books when I play Morrowind :D

Man.. more than anything I just love the utter creativity and thought that went into this. All the tiny and little aspects that just knock seconds off of your time, and those incredible shortcuts that cut hours and hours off with a single preparation or trick. Flying through maps with no clipping using scrolls and choosing specific traits for speed... I am seriously impressed.

I know this is an old video but i really want to speedrun this game. I have a torrented copy and im having trouble downgrading it to 1.0. Where do i replace the files and with what?
Awesome run. I've just learnt the whole thing so i'm working on time now but i have a couple of questions. 1. When i buy/take something a menu pops up asking me how many i want, i noticed you didn't have that. Is there a way to get rid of the menu? 2. How did you have enough fatigue to make the jump? I always have to end up waiting or stop running to regen enough to make it. And 3. I haven't actually completed the run yet as I either randomly die towards the end of the run, OR the recall potion does not actually teleport me, i just stay there. Yes, i'm running the 1.0 version.
1: ctrl+click 2: never jump 3.1: random death means you had keening/sunder out too long 3.2: always restart the game after making it past the super jump and that won't happen anymore, it's a bug
FatalisSRL Sorry but what do you mean by "had keening/sunder out too long" as i never have them actually drawn. Also if you have to restart the game every time to stop the recall glitch how do you complete it without restarting? Thanks for the quick reply though :D
MrClassy I just restart every time I fail a run past the super jump or when I complete a run. The same bug also causes scripts to break and give an annoying popup. Regarding random death, I still say it has to do with sunder/keening. Bind the next/prev weapon keys to your scroll wheel.
FatalisSRL oh ok, think i got the recall glitch down pat, thanks. still not sure about the random death though as i died while going up the steps to go outside just after getting keening. i'm gonna have another few tries soon though and see how it goes.
Yeah, i just finished it. The quitting thing definately seems to solve the problem and i just scrolled through sunder/keening more and i didnt die. Just one last thing though, are the Almsivi and Ondusi scrolls in the same place for you everytime? For me they arent and i have to search for them. Thats my last problem i have and then i just need to speed things up :D

so basically all that about becoming hortator and to lead the ashlander clans and seeking the ring and talking to vivec and all the other vital parts of the main quest, are actually not needed to complete the main quest.
this is why i love morrowind.

It's Wraithguard (a gauntlet). Wielding either Keening or Sunder without Wraithguard will eventually kill you without seriously breaking the game (they deal as much as 125 damage per second to you while you hold them).

I played this when i was 6 and couldnt be bothered reading, i’d repeatedly ruin save files and start over never once doing a quest and still put hundreds of hours in

The best part about this? This is entirely lore friendly. Keening, the weapon being used to perform the glitch, is one of Kagrenac's tools, used by the Tribunal to literally make themselves living gods. Using it to phase through walls and fly around sounds pretty tame in comparison, huh?

No thanks Lorkan was a Padhomaic entity and a symbol of change, it can be argued that what was extracted using the tools was not necessarily raw power but was in fact closer to something like chaos or uncertainty. The player character can also be thought of as a Padhomaic entity, because the story literally revolves around them and the change that they bring through their actions, so it can be argued that using those tools to perform this glitch is in a way actually draining raw chaos from the player character. This is evidenced by the fact that this glitch drains your HP.

Based off of this video, the plot is pretty weak.
I know this is a week old, but I'd just like to say:
I and many others find that the plot to Morrowind is the strongest of all of the Elder Scrolls games. All quests in the game and the atmosphere build together to make a much more thought provoking and emotional experience than games such as Skryim could ever do.
You start off as the weakest of the weak, but as you grow stronger, the people and groups around you react accordingly, and you really do feel a sense of accomplishment.
