Well first of all, Jerry is a *comparatively* clean comedian, so course using that word would not only be incongruent to his style of comedy, it would most likely hurt his brand.
And also, he never said that word shouldn't be used, he said he does see nor seek the humour in it. He even said it works for them because they had found the humour in it.
Ur not one of those guys who think Seinfeld said that out of some anti-slur outrage and solidary with black people, are u? 😅

But he has no problem standing in a black man's presence telling him he's wrong for laughing at the use of the word! We're giving credit way too freely and forgetting who's really on our side!

Black people need to check one another about using the N word before we check anything white. The word is not endearing. It is not empowering. It is not a right that only Black people can use the word. The word is defamatory, insulting and degrading. We talk about the system against us. Well the first system we need to be against is how we disrespect one another. Clean up the disrespect at home which you can change and then effectuate change in the world. I was born in an era of civil, economic and racial unrest. However during those times, the Black Panthers, Dr. King, Malcolm X, and Angela Davis instilled so much respect for our race as a people that no weapon of any other race could harm us. We have lost that respect because popular Black celebrities have been paid handsomely by the plantation of entertainment and sports to undo 50 years of Black pride and respect.

My personal take on the subject is this right here. One they are not saying the same word as us A when we say ER when they say. I mentioned that because the "A" was us taking something bad and taking the power away and making a term of endearment. If you think that doesnt matter or is making excuses then stop eating chitterlings (chit-lins) and soul food because chitlins came from them giving us the scraps and parts of the hog that were inedible and left over and we had to make the best of it. We made it so good now white people and people around the world eat it to. The same with soul food we took bad ingredients etc and made food that was comforting and gave us a sense of community i.e. sundays dinners etc. If you are not ready to give up all dont give up part and think you are work or doing something different. Its one of those things where its for us. They have no say in black culture the "how can we expect them to stop saying it if we dont?" people are the worst because its a form of mental slavery and they are still controlling you subconsciouly. They are the same people that every time something happens in our race are like "see thats why white people talking about us now" as if they are higher or better or the standard. Always look to them for approval. Its one of those things where I can say this to and about my child but you cant.

When I got older, I said it to one of my friends that we use to say it back and forth in the phrase "N you crazy". He was ok with it. I apologized. He was like man, it's ok. I've never said it again. I just don't feel right saying it. Really, in the form I used it, I could just say "dude or man" and the message doesn't change. Even though my intent was never to be insulting, i can easily change what word i use and get the same message without the chance of disrespecting someone.

Theres a massive difference than being in NY and being raised in NY. Jamaicans and Puerto Ricans came to NYC in the 1960s(ricans be here since 1890) and lived in the same neighborhoods. Blacks from down south lived door to door with ricans and thats how Hip Hop started (on sedgwick ave). My family is afro Rican and Puerto Ricans have a massive african influence where we still represent today. Look up a video on my town "loiza" we still celebrate african tradition and culture. Bomba is a big part of our culture. Ricans in NY eventually became americanized and shared communities with blacks and west indians. Blacks and Ricans here never question it because they both faced racism from White Flight, red zoning and NYPD targetting our youth. I got relatives that are very dark and in PR we face racism from Ricans who lived outside of Loiza/Carolina/Santurce/Fajardo. Before you speak on Ricans get to know them first. You doing some wild shit grouping us up with asians when they dont fuck with us and other latino groups dont fuck with us because were seen as intregated with blackness and not hispanic enough for them. Yo soy afro borikua pa que tu lo sepas. Im not the only afro bori in NYC. Come to the Bronx and find out. We all over. Afro Hondurans heavy in Crotona Park. My main man Felipe say nigga all the time and no one gives his trouble. Youll def get slapped saying some stupid shit about Ricans. Respectfully, you feel that way because you grew up in England. Your country doesn't have quite the same historical relationship with that word as we have in the U.S. There continue to be straight up lynchings here. The Republicans in our government recently voted against an anti-lynching bill. The word "negro" is still on some of our legal documents. In the primaries that just passed, some states were voting on finally having slavery removed from their state constitutions, and Louisiana voted no! In that context, having a white person call you the n-word here carries a different weight.
