Hi, i think your overlay about pairs of cells in every case at 1:28 maybe wrong. For me it looks like in every pack there are 5 cells. So the packs with a larger capacity should have 5 pairs.
The 8A battery had a 2018 date on the PCB but we in Oz have only recently been able to get that capacity. Previously we only had the 5.2Ah batterywhich has always been overly expensive.
Salut. Nu as putea spune, dar nu e neaparat sa scrie firma. Am deschis multe baterii de laptop si foarte rar era un brand pe ele. In schimb, daca te puneai sa cauti dupa cod aflai ca erau "de firma".
@@M99pt Thanks. Hmm I guess that more the case in high performance machines. Like the Dyson, where the power drain is huge. For a cordless screwdriver, the discharge peaks are short, and intermittend. But I agree, many dont have high quality active balancers, given their cheap making.
Just one example. I use the lawn mower with 2 batteries at the same time. I use 2x4Ah and 2x8Ah. They discharge exactly at the same time. And I mean exactly with maybe absolutely max 5% difference in favor of one or another. That shows me both batteries have almost identical capacity. The chance of one of them having unbalanced cells but still keeping it's capacity is really slim. And that lawn mower drains them quickly. So, either some balancing is done, or the cells are really good, or it takes more time to unbalance, or I'm just lucky until now 🤷🏻♂️

Hi. Yes, you are totally right. I screwed up the overlay. I will pin you comment. Thank you!

Really, 2018? I might have missed that. I thought the 8Ah are newer than that.
Thank you! Nice demonstration. Would be nice to know what they use in the new sealed batteries.
Welcome!
Don't have one of those yet.

Salut, ai vreo idee de la ce firma sunt celulele? Bănuiesc ca dacă nu scrie firma pe ele însemna că sunt ordinare din China ?

Does anyone happen to know if these are full BMS or just protection circuits ?
It's more circuit protection because after 3 5 months of use cell is unbalanced with difference 0.2-0.7 volts and circuit protection it wil cut off
Really? How did you notice this? My batteries are working normally after a few years, with no noticeable performance drop.

You skipped on the most important information, the brand of cells they use
I don't have that information. It was not easily visible on the cells.
6,0ah=inr21700 2000mAh
5.2ah=ICR20650 2600mah
Thanks!
