- While Bad Chad does the body work on the tail lights Nathan is working on making the door glass work. He has modified the inside track assembly so that the original glass will work with the chopped roof 🤌

Nate's work is always hidden, but necessary and truly amazing!

Sometimes you require a real 'mechanic's mechanic'. They are lucky to have Nate.
I love the tail lights. I think it would be great it you eliminated the seam on top of the fenders like you did under the tail lights. I haven't missed a day since I discovered you a bit over a year ago!
pn😢
😮😮😢😮😮😮😮😢
Nate is the technical genius. Doug is the mechanical expert. Chad is the creative artsy one. Jolene is the beautiful brains. Great team
Kudos to Nate. He is a keeper, Chad.
So Nate is a master mechanic is nice to watch him work y’all did good when you brought him a board the whole team is killing it great job
I always learn something new each day! Your creativity and ingenuity plus explaining the procedural processes is amazing!❤❤❤ thank you so much!
You are lucky to have a man in house like Nate, he is kind of a genius. And Doug does a lot of the hard work that most don’t like to do. Frees ole Chad up to noodle the dream.
Love" noodle the dream"... right on.😅😅
Well said

What great work Nathan does. Going to be a fine looking build.👍
I think if you brought that vertical line out to a point to the edge of your new light location, that would look pretty cool.
Well done Nat, l thought that was going to be a major problem, but problem solved...Shane from Australia
You are one heck of a likeable guy Chad. And Jolene is certainly easy on the eyes. Blaze your own trail!
Well....whatever
@@kjeldlarsen912Halløj Kjeld! Ha ha! ;)

he was a wild child for sure, and he is still a little nuts! lol -There is usually a reason ppl start calling you BAD Chad... LOL
Add a Continental Kit, "sence" the Tail Lights are now stretched, so why not the Rear Bumper to go along with it, it might help to make this look all the more right?
Chad, until I saw those taillight extensions on the car I was skeptical but now I'm a fan! Blue dot taillights are a must add! Nat is a door master! Having done the same process on a stock 55 without a chop I truly understand what Nat accomplished! Jolene perfectly reveals the project's details!! Mega Kudos to the whole crew!
Nate is a Mechanical Genious ! You Nate and Doug work well together and Jolenes Camera Work is Excellent Kudo's to you all !!!
I hope all the sanding dust didn’t get Doug sick…
It did!
I've come to realize what chad is doing. He's not building cars the way i or a lot of people would but thats not what he's all about i just watch and enjoy what he's coming up with.
Thats why we love you Chad. Being an original means taking chances!
No one will ever be able to say Chads creations look like what everyone else is doing. Car will be awesome, fins or not. ;)
sorry but not to sure about getting used to those tail lamps
They don’t thrill me either, but things always look different when the paint makes it homogeneous.
It's growing on me, I think once he adds a bumper to the car, I think that will change the appearance
Love the tail lights. Adds some swoopy length to the car. Who the he!! Cares what anyone says? It’s your car and 99% of these clowns yapping couldn’t begin to customize a car let along afford to buy one. Keep on going Chad. You’re an artist!! 👍👍🙂
I love the roof line, looks like a fastback design
Yes 🎯👌😉👍
The extension of the rear lights gives a nice look to the shape of the car. 😎👍
Nice work on the door windows too
I think you nailed the tail lights. Art deco. I dig it!
Those extended tail lights are a stroke of genius, complementing the roofline perfectly. Good on ya Chad, you're an artist.
Continent kit would go really good with these extended headlights
Dude! Just like I said" looks good" if you're not into Sleds and Kustom, this looks odd to you, but to us it's a great idea, next some bubble skirts, and flame throwers on the tail pipes, WOW!!!
The stuff in the cracks under the back light is a type of rubber sealant that has deteriorated. Use clear silicon sealant that you use for bath tubs. It's paintable.
Excellent work Chad, you inspire me to do more
An exercise in making crap look even crappier.
I wasn't sure I'd like the taillights but they turned out great!
All around starting to look old school going to be a nice custom
Negative Nancys said the door glass wouldn't work.
Ok, I'm not Nostradamus, but I basically said customizing is enhancing, that does the direct opposite, you should tunnel them, bring the tail light spear forward, you want to accentuate your chopped top, now the tailights have become the object of attention, as in fine art, you want draw the eye in, not away, the tailights now draw your eye right off the car, you need a eye stopper, like the tunneled tailights and a spear forward to about to the end of the top, customizing is a art, you have to understand design and how it correlates with the observer.its called a fender welt, controversial, that to put it mildly, they used to Peak tailights and head lights, and fluted them , sometimes with inverted V, opposite of peaking, you just murdered the chop,
I don't feel it is wrong for anyone building a car to look at pictures of others to get some good solid ideas . Copy a mod you like with a bit of a twist to make it your own. I agree with Don , the mods need to flow with the rest of the car , not distract or look out of place. Learning to do sketches is a great working tool.
The chop on this ride turned out really good. It was a very aggressive chop and it turned out super cool and the tail lights just add to the custom look
Not a big fan of those rear lights, I think they stick too far out. But other than that, it's a beautiful car again.
very nice, a little late for this comment, but how about running the ridge line of the fender onto the light extensions?
Hey Chad and crew, lights look great on the top it just looks like it needs bit of fin from the bottom down to the bumper I reckon. Awesome work team
I vote base coat clear coat two tone, a ivory off white on top and black, a nice blue, red or green color on bottom would look great!
Red and white makes me whip out my checkbook every time.
Car was looking good before the taillight work I got 50 coupe lowering your top made it basically look like coupe
Tail lights are proper custom 👌 very nice
Doug does alot hard core jobs good on him, nates skilled az , team work def
i thought the the tail lights would look out of place, but actually look pretty good.the car is looking good.
How about a contintinental kit , have the spare on the back bumper .. it'll balance out the new taillights
I like the extended tail lights. Once the bumper is installed to match, their length will be less noticeable.
Tail lights are controversial? That only means someone is interested and paying attention. Fantastic looking car.
Do you suppose he'll French the headlights ? Or address them at all ? The transformation of the little car is amazing ! I've seen 4to6 inch haircuts but 8 inches is a big chop ! Love the content . I'd of did the taillights differently but this is great to so what will it look like tomorrow can't wait to see ! Thumbs-up team Hiltz !
Lights look great... fine work.. l like the idea of an extended bumper.. maybe a continental style with spare tyre/ Chad style
Wasn't sure at first but... I like the way they look now!
Very well done I love your work
The taillights do look like their sticking out too far but when the bumper is put on it may look better...guess we'll see...nate...dang...great job so far on the door and just bout everything he does...😊....guess I'm goin to to see it till the end to pass judgment...but I believe it'll be a cool ride
I love what you did with the rear lights
Cheers, another great video. I'm seeing a low body skirt panel that comes out the same distance and covers the exhaust pipes. Designing and duplicating the curves will be hard, but open to personal creativity and will show off some mad, bad, Chad, skills.
Looks like a Volvo P18 tail light looks awesome great job
Nat is the Man!!!!!!
I think they fit the car nicely goes with the radical chop now you have radical lights do the front too put the bumpers on air bags cool paint job slam that bad boy all over the ground looking good chad !!
Make the headlights extend 3 inches also ...would look alsome..😊
Nate is good DANG
I like the tailights , I think they won’t seem so odd once you put the trunk lid on
Taillights look funky silly cartoonist
I am so old I remember when these were in every traffic line!
The car is telling me to put a continental kit on the back
Hey chad , lovin this build, this would be my dream car, and the way your doing it, on the tail light extension, see 59 Oldsmobile, have nice Crome riser between the bumper and twilight, something like that might look good on the shoebox.
what if you extend the center seam out to the tail light, top and bottom so it looks like a star from the rear...
I'm thinking candy apple green, with white pleated interior, what do you think chad😂
That sounds like an awesome color combo
The car is going to be outstanding Chad and Jolene 👍👍
The welting is of cloth material, only rear fenders, Ford called it "anti-squeek-beading"?
I think that you should install flame throwers in the tailpipes that would be rad as hell I’d buy it then for sure
like the flow to the tail lights
A small fin above tail light would help keep it in period.😊
Chad you Nate and Doug make a good team.
Chad it’s becoming a nice car. You said you wouldn’t weld the seem because of weld results and I thought maybe a laser welder but I looked up the price at $7,000 I thought that was pricy. The laser welder work well with sheet metal. Have a good day.
Looks very cool!
How about addi ng a continental kit on the back. In my opinion it would make it stand out more then it does now.
I love the metal work but not digging the tailz....great chop tho!!!
Glad them dividers and wings stayed!
A Continental Kits would be the bomb back there.
Taillights are cool brother..And myself, when I see you get an out of the box Idea” I head to the garage and mock up small to scale replicas and shelf them just incase I draw a brain fart and don’t have any ideas to build on a car truck or bike I’m working on… I just look at Bad Chad shelf or the Queens customs areas and roll with it..Ths Queen thx chad for bringing my interest back to playing and enjoying my tools again..I have recently have been giving permission to head to your area and with your es and miss Jolene when I get a confirmed date to be able to see you guys by my lady Jude…also I’m bringing 25k US WUTH ME,,To bring a car from there home to the states that I can build.. we’re going to call the 7/10 Jo putter. Runs great at 7 and faster at 10…. :-)
Chad and Jolene are Cooler Than Dang It!
What about having that rear ariel that's laying in the trunk coming out from the extended rear light molding, could be a cool addition?!
We always used exhaust tubing and sunk the antennas into either the front fender, rear quarter, or rear fender. Once in awhile, we would put two close together. One real and one dummy for looks. You used a small metal tube with a hose to drain water out the bottom of the car if needed. A large washer welded to the bottom of the tube was the mounting point. If you are going to do as much Fab work as Chad, you just go all the way.
Thanks for your insight, much appreciated.
Love this car ❤
Happy New Year Bad Chad & Jolene
That's called Getting N2 your work right there
I like those tail lights, its a custom so why not. I would have suggested making the rear of the car a little longer and making the grill look like that on a fifty mercury.
For a few pennies you could save your lungs a lot of damage . From the grinding and sanding dust . particle mask ..
How about showing Nathen at work. He seems to be doing the hard work that makes the build.
Nate is the best thing that happened to this channel for a successful completion of Chads journey with completing his projects since Jolene took over managing his life 👊🏼
Nathan is darn good ! I like his work !
Wow I was wondering how you would get the windows to roll up, Nathan is a genius that's great
I’m a big fan of the show .
However , i noticed there is a big hurry all the time , resulting in some mistakes and bad decisions . ie ; the motorcycle hauling 38z
This car is cool , the tail lights are cool but the back of the car looks like JACK ELAM.
Unless i can’t see it right , the lights should have been angled in where they look straight .
Quick and dirty is Not custom!
Eight inch chop is VERY custom. How long it takes is immaterial.
The product they are selling is the you tube channel, not the car. They can't spend more than a month on a project or people will get bored and stop watching.
@@vnvracer1384 Wait till he tries to look over the steering wheel. 4 inches would have been enough. I have done this before.
@@evanosborne2410 He keeps calling these custom cars. Painting the 38 with a brush is not custom.
It's you car your build, make it as you want. The blue dot tail lights would be a great addition to the style of your chop for that year. They make a great purple glow at night. Thanks for taking us along again.
I would have pulled out the loose strip in the seem since it was already loose. It may cause issues later on. Nate is very talented in everything he does. Jolene always does a fabulous job with the camera.
From my dad the weilder and having done bodywork the right way, you aren't learning anything except how to the wrong way. - Richard.

Why doesn’t the front doors line up with the rear quarter windows?
Nice work on the window guts Nate! Most guys hate working inside the doors but I've always enjoyed the challenge myself. Even with all the cuts on my arms and hands. I get good satisfaction fixing a broken window that nobody wants to fix. 😁✌
I like what you have done to the shop, well over due, if I can add my advise I would move the shear along the brick wall and also move the Pepsi cooler to the front door, I think it would be smart to move the bending and bead machine out of the back room so all your fab equipment is in the main work area.
Keep up the good work!
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should . 😏
Man take a day away from the shop and go see Jim...Like to see Jim more he makes me laugh a lot
Hi Team Hiltz, I hope Doug is feeling better soon! I like the tail lights and I think once the bumper is on they will blend in more nice work Chad. Nate is so gifted with mechanical engineering of the parts that must be modified. He is doing a fantastic job on the window regulators & the vent windows. Everything mechanical and body wise is going to turn out really great I think. Jolene great work on the camera & the video as well as your imput on the project! Fina also walked by inspecting the work as well!
Despite my first inclinations regarding the tail lights, I can see your vision as the come closer to being finished. Kinda reminds me of those old rocket car prototype drawings from the 50's! Very cool
When sanding the fiberglass you should wear a mask or respirator. The glass particles can be inhaled and they stick in your lungs. They do not break down. They build up over time. Pulmonary Fibrosis can progress rather quickly once it starts. We just lost my brother to this horrible disease. I don’t want you to go through what he did.
Sorry. Tail lights look wrong. Looks like they were just added on to fill time, disappointing. Look goofy
Could have turned them 90 degrees and recessed them to fill in the time…
