Have one in the box but never knew how to utilize properly, but this helps a ton. Basically no wrong answers, and now that I have the proper gear this will definitely spend a lot more time tied on!
Great vid/very informative. I bit the bullet and went with one of the 95's. My lake is *extremely* shallow and weedy, but for some reason the walleye and wipers thrive. This looks like it'd be candy for them so I may as well give it a go even though I'm not the biggest fan of trebles. I may switch them out, but it all depends on if the action would remain the same. May as well give it a go since they've seen pretty much everything else by now.
🍺Thanks Matt. The 9” comes with a Willow blade on the back not a hook. The sizes I would prefer to try do not allow back orders (March 2023). Nice action in the water👍.
I have several magic swimmers. I have found that they consistently catch fish regardless of the forage available. They seem to work all year round as well. I can't wait to try the Berkley version.
I used to mainly use them stripers guys still look for the original sebile ones. Does the berkley ones come with the center pin screw for the rear hanger? So you can attach a finesse worm or trick worm to the back to give it like a rat or eel like appearance
I have about 10 of them, You can use the white one for stripers as well(bigger one). Mine all original but they have the knock off in market some people swears work the same, But I dont believe them. Thanks for sharing.🙏
Matt. You have taught this young bass jedi from another video to cut one of the three hooks of the front treble hook to avoid snags. Would you recommend doing so on this bait?
Matt, have you fished the jackal Dunkel swimbait? It's pretty good, similar action to the waterwolf lures shadzilla but you can fish it slower. You should check it out for pike and musky
I've only got a couple on the boat, glad to hear they've been picked up. Just in time for up here. You did say they have perch pattern? I've yet to try them on Lake Erie!
On the blue herring lakes do you always reel across surface or do you let it sink at times and slow roll. Fish Lanier and sebile is a big deal but I don’t have much success with it.
First let me just say thank you for using my link! This is the link and if you book mark it youll see the MSFG at the end of the TW home page. As long as you see the MSFG when you click your bookmark it will be working. Once you start browsing around the TW website you wont see the MSFG anymore. But as long as the bookmark link takes you to the homepage with the MSFG its working. Here is the link to bookmark www.tacklewarehouse.com/?from=MSFG
@@MattStefanFishing No problem it is the least I can do for all the time and information you give us. Much appreciated and looking forward to future content
It definitely looks good. Unfortunately I haven't used it. Mr Pike and Mr Muskie probably lick their chops when they see it. Have you lost any to the toothy critters?
they have them at tackle warehouse....but they are going fast and super hard to find. www.tacklewarehouse.com/Berkley_Magic_Swimmer_Swimbait/descpage-BMSMSEB.html?from=MSFG
Gotta tell ya too, Matt, the number 11 jointed Rapala is very effective in central New York state in either silver or firetiger with superior action.
awesome! thanks for sharing!

give it a try!
Been using it for 10 plus years maybe 15.Big fish bait.I put a feathered treble on the back seems to work better
thanks for sharing
Found a chrome sebile one snagged. In great condition just had to change a hook. I live in lake Lanier a blueback lake. Great info for me to hear!
Very nice!

Good luck!
I got mine years ago in a mystery tackle box. I'm going to start using it now!
good luck!
Same here...love the action of it.
Those have a really great swimming action. I bet those are a great bait in the pre-spawn as well. There's only one way to tell! Bait shopping time!!!
they are year round baits!
hey Matt!! yes sir, I love my Sebile on Lanier! One of my staples. Thanks!
spotted bass love them!
Awesome review of this bait Matt, I have never used it but as always you got my attention with this one, glad to see Berkely picked these up!!!
You bet!
🍺Thanks Matt. The 9” comes with a Willow blade on the back not a hook. The sizes I would prefer to try do not allow back orders (March 2023). Nice action in the water👍.
the 9" is a killer muskie/pike bait!
Great information as always, it's dinomite on the SE area on lake Okeechobee on the rock ledges during winter months 👍
Very cool!

yes they do!

as far as i know nothing has changed on them
@@MattStefanFishing thanks I never even knew Berkley bought them. I gotta check them out.
I’ve got 2 of the Sebile lures, and glad I do, TW only has a couple of 9” Berkley baits.
they are really hard to get
First time seeing them. Walleye bait style. Thanks Matt
You bet
Matt what you think about this bait in Oct on clarks hill?? Or other bait recommondation
It should be great
How do you feel these compare to throwing something like a bullshad or bull herring?
this have a much sleaker swimming action
Got a sebile in chrome and black back use it for striper fishing on lake Cumberland in ky
Nice!
one of my favorites only
can find the chrome colored ones and the berkleys are sold out everywhere
they are really hard to get

Thanks for the info!
Been getting em in manitowish waters area in northern Wisconsin. Good bait!
Yes they are!
Definitely going to try some of those soon on Elkhart Lake here in Wisconsin
good luck!
Matt. You have taught this young bass jedi from another video to cut one of the three hooks of the front treble hook to avoid snags. Would you recommend doing so on this bait?
no since this bait is used to fish off the botttom and therefore doesnt make contact enough to get snagged
Gotta be able to get your hands on em lol. 💯 the soft baits swim like whaaa!
You got that right!
Matt, have you fished the jackal Dunkel swimbait? It's pretty good, similar action to the waterwolf lures shadzilla but you can fish it slower. You should check it out for pike and musky
I havent but will check it out!
And it can be used in fresh or salt water
agreed
I will have to check them out 🎣
give them a try!
I've only got a couple on the boat, glad to hear they've been picked up. Just in time for up here. You did say they have perch pattern? I've yet to try them on Lake Erie!
they have a lot of colors but they are hard to find

i usually burn and stop on blue back herring lakes.
Sounds good thank you

I got some of the Sebile soft plastic version of those. The nose really tears up fast so Mend-it will save you $$
I prefer the hardbait version
@@MattStefanFishing I got ‘em for fishing in my pond. Heavily loaded with vegetation and brush so weedless is the way to go in there.
Matt, please try using an Inu rig for a weighted wacky hook presentation.
will do
@@MattStefanFishing whacky Enu Rig, it's real
Thanks !
You bet!
Boom! Love some guice!
it juice!
@@MattStefanFishing that’s just how we do down here in the south! Either way I’m in!
Just look thru the catalog and I guess I'll dig out the air brush and paint. No perch at all. It's a hard pattern to find anyway.
they have a lot of special run colors over the years
Use at clarks hill all the time
awesome!
I always have one tied on pre spawn to winter winter
Nice!
It definitely looks good. Unfortunately I haven't used it. Mr Pike and Mr Muskie probably lick their chops when they see it. Have you lost any to the toothy critters?
i love the big 9" size for muskie!
@@MattStefanFishing Thanks. I don't fish for muskie but occasionally catch them on Raystown lake and the upper Potomac river.
I don't see these offered in a perch pattern. I guess the Golden Shiner might be the closest.
there are lots of special run colors of these. Just got to keep your eyes open for them
Was that the original you had tied
On ?
nope those are both berkleys
Plenty of yellow perch in the pond I fish. Also a bunch of Sysco and tavern owners in my local river. 😂
Probably a good bait to throw. 😅
hahaha! Alewive!!!
@@MattStefanFishing Haha
Love the video! Do you mind if we put it on our website? You will still get the views.
Sure
I mean if their cousin the 30lbs stripe bass bite it they should be able to bite it as well
Yep
👍👍👍👍👍
thanks for watching!
I would say nay. Yay to the strippies on that tho. Vous should endorse the lipped Berkley version, but who da fook is I laddies?
thanks for watching
Sebile all day if I go lipless.
thanks for sharing
They don't even list this on tackle warehouse site so where are they Matt I got a small one at bps
