Happy birthday ashley, i am the exact same when i get gifts people think im not appreciative of their gifts but i totally am. The tulips can still be planted in those pots but if you still have frost or snow they might not survive it this year but you can dry after they finish blooming and plant in late summer early autumn for spring next year.

When you said " sometimes people do not think I like their presents because I'm not like all excited" (paraphrased). I don't like surprises. haha. I am so like that. What I did like was he actually listened and bought flowers (even though he didn't realize the were to force bloom in the container) and big planter for the front porch and lots of dirt. Happy belated blessed birthday ashley. I'm just like you I cant stand to see flowers die. So my late husband started a tradition of buying me a new minature rose for every holiday. Before he died my first minature rose was five feet tall two feet wide and 6 feet long. We realised after planting and it growing that it meant the Rose's them selves were small. Lol it's a cherished memory now.
