Yes, and as a long-time Packers fan, I very often thought that when even in his prime AR extended and commonly overextended plays in search of the big chunk play, he was usually just barely able to elude tacklers. He was never that fast or slippery and I remember thinking that when this guy loses that half a step or has a worse O line, he's in a lot of trouble. Trouble arrived very early last year and may well return. He's not getting any faster afoot, or smarter.

the REASON he say sit is because you ALWAYS see this in NEW YORK...the Jets players obviously came into this season distracted..and you could see it last year too. New York is the ONLY CITY that actively TRIES to destroy its teams
trumps followers have been conditioned to automatically dismiss anything the mainstream media says, because it makes them more susceptible to his lies.
Aaron's actually right that the players shouldn't listen to the media. (A lot of young jets are online too much). But Young is right that you shouldn't say that TO the media. Say it to the players in private. Maybe make it a rule! No social media 'till the off-season. But saying it in a press conference is wrong. (And I love Aaron.)
Wish Rodgers had gotten weird after retiring from football instead of while still playing. Lots of great packer memories but he seems like such a nut job now, I was curious to see how he'd do on another team but it's really hard to root for him
I have my own speculations I won't share here. It sad to see things go bad after he was so excited to play on the Jets. As a Packer fan, for me, it was sad to see AR leave. I was always hoping he would have changed his attitude back to years prior, but he ever did. I dont understand how he doesn't realize a lot of his problems come from not being at early camps and not having chemistry between players because he doesn't think it makes a difference.
Rodgers is literally the old player limping off the football field. Rodgers is not "HIM" anymore and certainly not enough of a leader to move this team forward. Rodgers cannot understand how impactful his "dismissing" of Salah was on image and character of the football team (or many of his other actions). The individualistic style of Rodgers is really great when the foundation (like Green Bay) is solid; on the shifting sands of the NYJ it is just chaos.
Steve says "if you wanna ignore em, ignore em" and that's exactly what Rodgers is saying the team needs to do -- why is that 'bad'? Steve says he agrees, why is it because Rodgers says it, it's a big ?
@@JosephRocco-mi4cm And? Rodgers is saying 'ignore them", and Steve is saying 'ignore them' -- Steve is agreeing with Rodgers -- stop listening!, comprendo?
Back in GB, both Rodgers and Favre deflected criticism of themselves onto others, especially Favre ripping on teammates instead taking his own responsibilty. We've heard that for 30yrs now. There is something about the culture of QB hero worship that conditions them to think they can't do any wrong. I hope it doesn't happen to Jordan Love too. But as he continues to succeed and we win it could. He seems straight in the head so far. We'll see. Go Pack!
Maybe AR should hang it up, mid-season if need be. Clearly, he can't perform at the level expected of him. When asked about it, rather than just keep it straight and narrow, he lashes out and acts like a wounded dog. Sure, the press can get under your skin, but jfc, grow up and take a punch. For the money he's being paid, you'd think he could do more than whine and blame the press for his own poor performance, both for himself and his team.
My dad said to me when I was young, "Son, you're special, but no more special than anyone else". I don't think Aaron got that talk. Or he just didn't listen.
I agree with Roger’s, as far as game broadcasts are concerned, the media thinks it the NFL, it thinks people tune in to listen to them. I tune in to watch the game not to listen to the media who fill the game with tons of predictions, analysis, criticisms, stories, stats and countless unnecessary replays that ruin the actual game and so much more. Blah blah blah. It used to be a lot quieter. Today’s coverage is far too analytical. I just hit the mute button. Paying Brady 350 million to be a color guy shows that the networks can and are controlling things. The NFL is about the action on the field not off the field.
Damien Woody called them a roster instead of a team. Every week there is some major coaching or player change. Nobody knows what their exact role is supposed to be.
As a Packer fan that wanted Rodgers gone 5 years ago because it was clear we couldn’t win another Super Bowl with Rodgers baggage - his absurd salary demands, his rigid, narcissistic myopia, his ridiculous conspiracy theories, his age - I’m going to defend him here. The media asks just plain stupid questions about 75% of the time. Over and over and over. Rodgers is burned out and will retire after this season. He no longer needs to put up with the BS questions and comments.
To all the critics that say Rodgers should have had this or that it boils down to money. When you have one player that takes the majority of your cap and will make no concessions. You are then handicapped with who you can acquire. First you have to pay for an offensive line to protect him. Then a defense that can stop the opponent from scoring 40+ every game. Then a running game to give the offensive lineman a chance in the game. Rodgers who can thread a needle with a football at 50 yards (or at least he could a few years ago) doesn't require a receiver who has 5 yards of separation power. Would it have been nice to have 2 number 1's for receivers, yes necessary no. Rodgers lack of playing at more Superbowls was a result of an increasingly poor defense and his own poor performance in critical games.
The media literally bashes on players EVERY chance they get and when players say something to you guys that you don’t like yall get so offended! It’s hilarious to me! The media needs tougher skin!!

Did he blame the media!? 😂. When did he once say it’s the medias fault? He said they need to not listen to the media which is the truth. You’d rather him and his teammates believe everything the media says?😂. He didn’t attack the media he simply said what his team and teammates should do, which is not listen to the outside noise. But this is the kind of stuff the media does. Exactly what he was referring too😂🤣. Crazy!
Exactly...the media is like the DEVIL...thee to see IF they can destroy you
Everyone looking for a reason to hate on Aaron, it’s ridiculous how his words get spun
Can we at least agree Rodgers play last 4 games have been terrible ? Call a spade a darn spade. Jets have offensive weapons up to the ying yang. Give the same weapons to Buffalo, KC or Ravens and see how much a difference it makes. Rodger’s is wasting so much of the abundance of talents around him it’s insane. Problem for jets is time is not their friend.
@@tagtag-connected5263 he’s had to deal with 4-5 drops per game every game. At pivotal moments often times. The drop turned INT by Wilson was the play that completely swung the game. Seems like his teammates aren’t stepping up in big moments
@@tagtag-connected5263 how bout you WATCH THE GAMEs...wrong routes, dropped balls, not looking back fo rback shoulder throws, dropped passes that bound into defenders hands, under pressure EVERY PLAY and constantly getting sacked or getting picked up off the ground...
Rodger wont finish this season uninjured...
He somehow missed large swaths on the path of human maturity.
Glad I found this tube ....we owned land across from Voice of America in 1968 ? ......but we ended up selling and moved to a self sustaining farm in Newtonsville ......if not for that ,we may have been classmates ......your aging gracefully like me .....great voice ....graceful ego .....the best show on earth when you and Kieth did ESPN ......no one can take that away from you 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Steve is right; I understand that trying to stop something becomes harder if you keep telling yourself you have to, rather than just living in the moment however the media should also move on and not take offense. If he said not to listen to the media and they are claiming they're done, I wouldn't listen to them either. xd Go jets go.
My all time favorite QB when I was little!! Steve Young!
It is possible that he’s talking about the media in general, wouldn’t doubt there’s division due to Roger’s past with the media.
No dude, he had a free pass in Wisconsin. Perhaps if his called out the Jets wouldn’t have to deal with this.
Dude is way too much of a snowflake to be able to deal with the NY media.
“Stop listening to you guys.” What a clown.
Then the one place you don’t go to play is NY.
He s right
He didn't know this when he went to New York?
He learned from Favre. As predictable as Trump not accepting defeat. Same lame shit, different day.
Been a Packers fan for about 30 years now. All I’m gonna say is if Love ends up being a franchise star then goes crazy there might be something in the water up there 😂
Young was a phenomenal player and has a wise understanding of Qb mentality and behaviors.
His career went down the tubes when he came out as a trump supporter… 🤣
I think he meant stop listening to what the media is saying about the team. Dont let the media get you down
Finally!!! Someone with comprehension skills. Exactly what he was saying. You win the internet. These other fools are lost
@@jtfikeyou think the team really cares what the media has to say?!! You’re just as lost as A Rod
@@jtfike. Rodgers was just finding someone new to blame so he wouldn’t have to take responsibility for his sad performance. Anyone who believes otherwise is as delusional as Aaron.
Steve Young actually said it best just shut about it
And please tell us what maga lardo meant to say a thousand times. He didn’t mean to demean the military, he didn’t mean to say that disabled people are worthless, he didn’t mean to say Epstein was a great guy. A Aron has been in the league for almost twenty years. And he still doesn’t know what to say and how to say it? Maybe he’s just a dumb jock that has the beginning stages of cognitive decline. But he is immune.
Aaron Rodgers ALWAYS has blamed others for poor play. Yes, he said that he has to play better but, made sure he pointed out that the running game is the reason why they don't have a better passing game. I could care less about what he says to the media except if he is listening to them, that is causing his poor play, then he is more of an idiot than I ever imagined.
Rogers time is long past.
I could hear Steve comment on football forever. 😎
Excellent advice from Steve Young.
Poor Rodgers, always the victim, never the problem.
Great comments from Steve Young. Great QB!
#1. These Jets are NOT 2-5 because of the media. #2. The Rodgers-less team a year ago was 4-3 at this point in the season. Soooo…. accountable? We have to play better? It’s laughable
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
He didn’t say it was because of the media. Middle school comprehension skills, dude.
@@jtfike just so were clear then . its not the medias fault , its rogers fault . hes thrown interceptions to end two of the last three games [ maybe all three , i didnt watch the last jets game ] . i agree , its not the medias fault .
@@jtfike he made “stop listening to you guys (the media)” FIRST on his list of the things the team needs to do to “keep the belief” in the face of it making the same errors over and over again.
The biggest problem with the Jets is their offensive line. Until they solve that problem, they will not be going anywhere. My Cowboys are in the same situation.
@@alanderickson7347 do not count out the Jets
Media is annoying with anything.
What is it that you want Pat to ask Rogers? Do you just want him to call his playing dog shit? You hate on Rodgers for his opinions and hate on Pat for his “fence sitting.”
A Aron can't lead a horse to water yet a NFl team full of real men.
Let alone
Rodgers speaks like a true narcissist!
Because he is one....
the REASON he say sit is because you ALWAYS see this in NEW YORK...the Jets players obviously came into this season distracted..and you could see it last year too. New York is the ONLY CITY that actively TRIES to destroy its teams
Steve Young is a wise man.
Funny how a 4x MVP is hated so much… 😂😂😂 I wonder what Green Bay fans think of A Rodgers. 🤔🤔🤔
Rodgers is playing the Trump card by blaming the media.
Yup.
Trump has a case though because they temper with clips
media is the enemy of our country..liberal owned
@@ernestogastelum9123 Trump has no case, he’s a convicted felon, con man, and American traitor.

Good take
Barbara thinks Steve went out for a quart of milk…
Always making excuses.
Steve Young is awesome.
Wish Rodgers had gotten weird after retiring from football instead of while still playing. Lots of great packer memories but he seems like such a nut job now, I was curious to see how he'd do on another team but it's really hard to root for him
Same. I can't believe i ever liked the guy.
Aaron Rodgers did it again he's deflecting blame again even thou he say he has to play better.
I love his analysis. " it's a three ring circus🎪" we're all under one tent.
The media, the game, and the fans.
Don't fk with them.
Sports media is beyond ridiculous most of the time.
You are dense.
@@JosephRocco-mi4cm And? Rodgers is saying 'ignore them", and Steve is saying 'ignore them' -- Steve is agreeing with Rodgers -- stop listening!, comprendo?
Rogers is just not that good anymore…not complicated.
We'll see. Go Pack!
They really gotta stop advertising Steve Young as a "3 time" super bowl champ. He won 1. Montana won 4. It's padding the resume
Yes, it’s the medias fault your team blows. 😂
Rodgers is an old geezer. Big mistake by Jets
Hes not blaming the media. Hes simply saying dont listen to the naysayers.
My dad said to me when I was young, "Son, you're special, but no more special than anyone else". I don't think Aaron got that talk. Or he just didn't listen.
As a jets fan the simple truth is results dont lie,we are not good enough .
Jets are gonna kick some ass this week and Rodgers is gonna bring the belt back out.
Aaron is full of himself!
The jets have absolutely no chemistry…….
Damien Woody called them a roster instead of a team. Every week there is some major coaching or player change. Nobody knows what their exact role is supposed to be.
Rodgers private Jet in NY has turbulence and the captain is is on a solo mission
Stevie sitting there thinking 'this putz is gonna be joining me in Canton, someday?"
Guarantee you Young's answer would have been different in his playing days.
The media needs tougher skin!!
the media is the DEVIL
