Good review. I bought the Soltera 2 last year. I enjoy it. But if I would have known a 2.5 with hydraulic brakes came out I would have waited to buy the Soltera 2.5.
I wasn’t expecting much from a 36V 350W hub motor that puts out only 45Nm of torque, so I was happily surprised it got itself and you up the hill on throttle alone. Good upgrades on the hydraulic brakes. Shame it lost the brake indicators as a result. And I prefer twist shifters to trigger shifters. I just find them easier to use, especially when shifting multiple gears at a time, either down or up. It’s also good Aventon continues to provide multiple sizes and gets the full UL 2849 certification. I’m not a fan of hiding the cables and hoses in the headset though. It looks sleeker, but they’re more difficult to replace when the time comes.
Nice enough, but no front suspension might be a problem for heavier riders; not crazy about the thumb throttle. With all of Aventon's innovations, you'd think they'd switch to a twist throttle.

How does it compare to my lectric Express high step 750w? I wish y'all would do comparison videos.
