I GREW up living next door to this amazing college ,and my mum was a cook for the girls for over a dozen years ,The girls made my mother's life a happy and fulfilled one ,She loved to make the food the girls would have eaten ,We're they home with their mums , Mrs Hynes was my mum's name to the girls . Val to her friends and colleagues , My memories of the girls and their voices carrying on the evening air ,will be with me forever , and will help carry my spirit home ,to my maker , I'm 70 now , and I believe my best years were spent living WITHIN the sounds of The girls of Turakina College, I'm forever grateful for their song.
