When Peter Green hired him, he was the best slide guitarist in UK
Great Spencer....the voice has not changed at all...and the slide makes me shiver as it did many years ago.... exceptional!
I first saw Jeremy in Bristol UK with Peter Green. he was a revelation then and seems somehow to have kept his great voice and ability on the slide .
So good to see him here. Thank you for this vid.
Jeremy Spencer blues slinger extraordinaire.
+ Religious fanatic!
A living legend original guitarist for the Mac! 😎🤘🔥
An absolute killer without question. A classic case of old wheels and strong mighty engine.
Wow, so nice to see Jeremy play! My biggest wish: Jeremy playing with Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood! I know, this is only a wish!
I'd agree. Just like I'd love to to see Christine McVie perform "Why" w Fleetwood Mac. Btw, I did get to see John McVie perform w John Mayall's BluesBreakers. Quite a treat, w Mick Taylor on Lead guitar. Mayall sang and played harmonica w the vigor of a man in his 30s, though he was already 50.
wow I had no clue he sounded like this.... voice straight from early fleetwood mac. I'm blown this is so good
I know, right? He does NOT look like that voice belongs to that wispy old fella.
I asked Jeremy if he remembered playing the Ritz club in Bournemouth in 1968.
He said he doesn't even remember 1968.
This is so fantastic! Never stopped loving Jeremy after he left Mac. One of my favourite slide & blues guitarists. Thank you so much for sharing this.
The true legacy of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.
Thank you Jeremy!!!❤❤
Jeremy Spencer!
RIP Elmore James
Grace of God,Jeremy plays on and delivers dirty sweet n low ,,.!!!!!!!!!!,
The rendition of this song back in Amsterdam of 69 beats this one hands down IMO. Impressive what he can do with the slide guitar but I thought it was too much here. Seeing him on the stage no worse for the wear made me think of Danny and his misfortunes. Very sad.
He actually look really emotional at the end of that. A true blues man
VERY GREAT JEREMY NEVER STOP
Sounds like it's still 1967 -1969 , he still sounds the same , still sounds awesome !
Classic! I was almost expecting Jeremy to start singing "Hi Old Silver". Danny M 👍
The King Speaks! Say hi to Harold for all of us.You still got it man, the voice, the bottle neck. Rock on Brother!
Ok this it! Thanks for the post.
My favorite member of Fleetwood Mac. Great to see this
what a performance!
Wow, that sojourn with God made his playing more interesting than the tedious Mr Wonderful stuff.
That was a sweet night!...was standing right behind you.
Jeremy Spencer & The Muggs.fantastic!!!
Still has the chops and voice!!
even better, I think!
Legend
It is so great to learn that he is still playing, and sounding better than ever!
One big REGRET I missed this !!! Was in Detroit, just 30 mins east of my home !!!! Still, we get a lot of great music come thru on tour and still some local blues. Not like it was in the 70's though.
Unbelievable what a legend ❤
Just fabulous!
Jeremy Spencer on Then Play On with Peter Green is iconic . Top 100 Lp s. Add then Kiln House also one of the Best . Fleetwood macs ode to rock and roll is superb and original . Who can forget Station Man ?
This is great stuff. Jeremy with his band(the Blues Dusters?) played our blues club in Wolverhampton England back in 1967. A few moths later he returned with his new band---Fleetwood Mac! We had no idea he had joined them.
Jeremías Spencer,Emitiste un larga duración,Felicitaciones.
Un Artista como tú,Náce y muere como Artista.
Gracias.
Great rendition. :)
Thanks for teaching me how to play slide
Fucking wow jeremy!!!! Blowing my mind again!!!! Even in his old age the guitar sounds crispy❤
The whole band is smiling.
If we're lucky, we get to grow old & still have something to offer.
this guy is fantastic. i love this guy slide at its best.
J Geils was the local band opening for many at the Boston Teaparty. Mac was the only Band that could follow
I saw Frampton's Camel and Slade open for J.Geils Band in 1972 - they were good but J.Geils blew them off the stage, of course!
1 of 3 great lead players the Fleetwood Mac 1967-70💚💚💚
But Danny Kirwan pushed Jeremy Spencer out of Fleetwood Mac because Peter Green liked Kirwan better, beause he was a kid who worshipped Peter. Jeremy had his own agenda.
he's something else for sure....
Underrated guitarist. Have enjoyed his talent since the Fleetwood Mac days with Peter Green, they worked well together.
Not underrated in the 20th Century.
true genius
Einfach Geil
Tooooo muchhhhhh! Yeahhhhhhh
I say Jer Sp is a famous and very talented guitar player. I really enjoyed his absolotely performance within the Fleetwood Mac group.
He was often the the lead singer and the lead guitarist togheter with Peter Green as the innovative comp guitarist. Sadly the real blues group spled out and did not continued:( The following Fleetwood had nothing incommon with blues....
The other guitar player is Dany Methric guitarist with The Muggs?
Hope he some time in the show gives a shout out to Elmore James the person who gave him all his material 😮
Sweet nice
If only he was this good back in Fleetwood Mac..
Melodic 59 Hahaha Spencer was Always a Fantastic performer. Obviously You haven't listened to any old Fleetwood Mac. Besides, he had to work within the confines of the entire band, which included Mr. Peter Green and Danny Kirwan!
Oh i don't give ill informed opinions my good sir, i know exactly what i said.. also it is only MY opinion after all. If he was this good back then he probably wouldn't have to work with the " Confines" of the band he actually could have offered something rather than blasting out the same Elmore licks and songs..
Melodic 59 Oh, now i get it. Upon Looking at your pic of Peter Green and his beloved 59' Les Paul, i now see why you thought Spencer only offered Elmore licks, and performed subpar. How do You explain Spencer's unbelievable impersonations of Elvis or Buddy Holly? Jeremy Spencer was one talented mimic. He even mimicked...John Mayall--haha Like You, i'm entitled to my opinion also, face it, without Spencer in Fleetwood Mac, they never would have sounded as good as they did, or have recorded and performed like they did--period!!! P.s. And if You want to argue the role of a Mimic, be my guest. Keith Richards is a mimic of Chuck Berry--Clapton is a mimic of MANY--haha. Cocker a mimic of Ray Charles--Rod the Mod of Sam Cooke --I can go on and on.
Well look at you.. you won an online argument take a bow good sir. I chose to exclude his impersonations but his songs "Linda" and "Travelin" are nice though.
Melodic 59 So Sorry, never my intention to wIn any argument. My whole point was, in my humble opinion, was that Spencer did some wonderful work with FM. I don't know if You ever seen Fleetwood Mac in the old touring dayz? Say like from 1968--71. But i never missed these guys when they rolled into town. And Jeremy Spencer was always in top form, even back then. Over and Out.
I love Jeremy Spencer. He is to Elmore James what Stevie Ray Vaughn was to Jimi Hendrix. They idolized their heroes, and did a great job of honoring them. Live on Jeremy!!!
"SRV was to Hendrix"? Wdym by that?
@@Sledgehammers_Nail I mean that Hendrix was SRV's greatest influence, SRV worshipped Hendrix, and as great as SRV was, he wouldn't be that good if it weren't for that love of his hero's music.
@@richardseegman803 oh so you mean "Elmore James was to Spencer as what Hendrix was to SRV." Not the other way around. Makes sense now. 👍
Fun fact: Jeremy Spencer was in a cult called "the children of God" and the group would molest and rape children. Spencer brought his own daughter into it and recorded her having sexual intercourse with a man. Look it up.
Jeremy play maracas pls😅
It tickles me to know that there still are three original members left of the first lineup of Fleetwood Mac...technically, they could all appear on stage like this...
Elmore Jeremy!
RIP Elmore…
suprb
Glad Uncle Jeremys ok ,considering all he's been thru. I have great memories of playing with the original Mac with Peter, Mick , John and Danny at the Shrine Auditorium and the Whiskey A Go Go in L.A. The lads were quite brilliant.
What exactly has "Uncle Jeremy" been through?
@@longjohn77 The Children of God cult.
Jermey Spencer's Fleetwood Mac featuring Peter Green. That's what the orignal band should have been called. Now, just go listen to Elmore James, Jeremy's greatest influence.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great
I PREFER JEREMY'S SLIDE PLAYING WITH FLEETWOOD MAC. THE ELMORE STYLE. THIS IS CLOSE BUT HE'S OBVIOUSLY INFLUENCED BY SONNY LANDRETH THESE DAYS.
it’s good
😂Great song!
thought that was Phil Collins for a moment !
Same strong voice from late 60s
This song done a lot by Son Seals
youtube Mick Taylor if you want to hear a great blues slide player
steve, mick taylor can never compare to jeremy spencer. a voice and tone like jeremys, mick cant hold a candle to Jeremy
Like somebody has their thumb on the edge of the record.....T O O...S L O W....
Самая хреновая гитара из флитвуда😂😂😂,Джереми уймись,тебе далеко до Питера и Дэнни😂.
The two guitar player doing the same , I would paid each one half lolololo
