    Bought my 2014 e220 more than 6-years ago. As good today as when I bought it. 76k miles. Never let me down. Relaxed driving. Just an awesome all round car 👍

    How can you call from the steering wheel?
    Also any issues with this car that I should be aware of. Just got a 2014 e250 AMG line.
    Might get extended warranty. Also one of the vents is broken, is that an easy fix?

    Barrie, i see that the car has a E-S switch, but shouldnt there be an E-S-M switch to use the back paddles? i this car for me and it appears mine does have back paddles but with just a E-S switch and not an E-S-M, very confused right now.

    Still wondering which W211 like more, the pre-face lift with the 4 square front lights or this face lifted with the whole light... The face lift is it is definitely better inside, bit I'm not convinced about the exterior, especially with the AMG body kit

    I have a 2014 sport in obsidian black. (E350) That gear stalk does take getting used to. I remember trying to put it into sport and put it into park at a traffic light. The leather is extra...about 2600 (dollars) MB Faux Tech Leather is standard. (They tend to all split by now along the horizontal seems) Economy in a decent size merc doesn't work. It's 21/29MPG in the states. I don't know what the equivalent is there. Old school and new meet. Cons are also..still, cheap door pins and some fit and finish issues. (Panels had to be aligned and squeaky plastic vent bits) I constantly still, reach for the turn stalk and luckily turn right as not to throw the car into neutral. Options are the key. They're are about 200 different options one could have added to the car. From Keyless Go to Panorama sunroofs to 360 cameras and self parking. The car is meant to cruise and be maintained well......endless money pit if not. You are being overtaken by transit vans..No power steering wheel? (Updated to 2020 maps is the key, the Navigation and especially ESPECIALLY the voice commands are rubbish.) You hit the mute button, you don't turn the radio down like that. (On the dashboard) Defensive slow driving at it's best.

      @@BarrieCrampton a w202 or a w124 is a great car- not these, they are mass produced and no better than a Toyota or a Kia. Unlucky...I would say- in my six weeks of ownership I had more problems then my 10 years with a w202 that only cost 2k...and the grand finale was an injector over injecting and causing hydraulic lock at 70 mph on a motorway- I WILL NEVER BOTHER WITH A DIESEL MERC AGAIN- AND NOTHING NEW...WIL SPEND MY CASH ON REBUILDING THE OLDER MERCS I OWN...If you try and tell me a w212 is built as well as an 80s or 90s Merc- then you are disrespecting me and your own knowledge of the brand.

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Nothing is built as well as it used to be, and all the electronic shit they put in makes every make and model nearly impossible to fix these days, however i dont see how 1 faulty injector could squirt enough fuel into a cylinder to stop it compressing, if it did i am sure that the problem was also caused by pilot error as if it was over injecting as much as you claim there would have been a massive smoke screen behind you, and you should have pulled over. I really cant see a faulty injector causing that, driving through a river maybe. And we have had loads of Mercedes and not one engine problem, as i say i think you were unlucky, and perhaps negligent to
