I like the looks, almost looks like an EV. Yesterday I was on a car-buying website looking for all the AWD vehicles under $30K and the Kicks showed up and I was surprised since I knew it was a FWD vehicle, until this new one came along. It sounds very promising.
@@pcthayer, totally agree, but the rest of this 'all new' and 'competitively priced' is nonsense and why Nissan is literally on the brink of bankruptcy. A looker, but will it last, and will Nissan be around to fix it if it doesn't?
@@michaelbates8660 I don't mind them re-skinning a vehicle, if it lasts. By re-using the drivetrain, that may allow them to have the cheap price to compete with the Kia Seltos and the Subaru CrossTrek, etc. (I would take the Subaru for longevity but for looks the Kicks gets my vote.) Just because it's cheap it doesn't make it good though, since Mitsubishi has made some cheap cars (Mirage) that are undrivable due to the lack of power.
I love the new front and rear. Very sharp and distinctive. Great job designers. Saying a car looks like a shoe is usually an insult. No spare tire standard is a miss. This recent trend of manufacturers putting OEM-specific infotainment systems (goodbye, affordable double-DIN) and integrated digital gauge clusters into entry-level cars will cost owners a fortune to replace should they fail outside the warranty. As a result, unfortunately, this may prove to not be an affordable car long-term. Let's not even go into Nissan's history with JATCO transmissions. Been there. Done that. Learned my lesson.

Because they're expensive to maintain, more expensive to replace, and Nissan's 60k warranty--that's a fight to get honored--isn't impressive. Many are offering 80k, 100k powertrain warranties now. Nissan's is basement-standard grade and the service experience if you do have a problem is poor.
