Saying Death is a villain seems like the wrong word. He is just a Neutral party in the story who's motive is to just permanently end Puss's life cause he never treasured any of them. Death may act villainous, but he isn't evil.

It's real subtle and easy to miss because it's right as he lifts himself up to grab a drink over the counter but yeah I can see that him slightly scratching like that was in reaction to puss not immediately understanding his circumstances

I really like how Death pours himself a stein of cream. I don't know why, but I just like how he indulges himself like that; he's an immortal being, so he doesn't need to eat or drink anything, but still does because he wants to .

I feel like because it’s a kids movie everyone immediately put the idea of him being Death out of their heads but man, when he tapped the sign after saying no one’s ever escaped him, that was the only character I thought could live up to that foreshadowing. He’s just too intense and menacing and yet so devil-may-care

Instead of doing the big eyes small nose animation Disney has been putting out for the past decade! I hope studios will see continue on this path of creativity! 🤩

When Puss actually dies, he’s not gonna like it. There are dozens of reapers in folklore, but the consistent thing is that if you try to cheat your fate, your soul suffers in the afterlife
We first think that Death is a bounty hunter. His blades look a little bit like question marks, making us question who he really is. Later when we see him more times, his blades are folded. They look like the letter D. Perhaps this is foreshadowing to us how he is Death

It is two canines who help Puss grow and change. Perrito helps Puss through support, and Death pushes him to his limits.
