Having grown up in Jacksonville, I really appreciated this great video! With the rivers, salt marshes, and beaches, it’s a great place to visit. So many hidden gems. Thanks!
What an excellent video. I'm a Duval native born and raised and this really captures the beauty of the city. Of course there's going to be run down areas and some that are not so nice but that's anywhere you go. It's a complicated city but I will always have love for it.
In 2014 I had the opportunity to visit JAX for a few days and it felt amazing. I'm an european and visiting the US was one of my dreams. I like that you featured Joe's crab shack and I remember eating there. A lot of places in this video made me remember the time I spent there. I love your videos.
Thank you for your beautiful video. Thanks to you, I just discovered the city of Jacksonville. In Europe, we are in confinement, Jacksonville with its beautiful beaches, made me dream. strongly that we get rid of covid, so that we can travel again and discover beautiful things in the USA. I love the USA, it's a very beautiful country, there is a lot to discover.
Yep, I hear many people in Europe getting fed up with all the restrictions...I don't blame them. Hope you can travel again soon. I don't think it will be too much longer
I've lived in the Jacksonville and North Florida for 25 years. Yes, there's work to be done downtown and in Jacksonville Beach and honestly it could use better leadership and a more solid vision of where it's headed. The potential for a truly special city is here though and overall it's a wonderful place to live for the outdoor person! I don't ever plan on moving from this region. It's a beautiful spot to be with excellent weather, the Atlantic Ocean many parks, picnic spots and hiking trails.
I appreciate the video and time put into the guide. I lived in Florida for a while and I realized everywhere you go it’s the same thing (with the exceptions of museums) eat food and go to the beach, that’s it. I’m not including all the things to do at the beach because that’s too vast. The terrain is too flat . As for the crime, it’s terrible, the society construct is divided by rich and poor and the middle class is scattered throughout these neighborhoods. As for seeing people say there’s tons to do, very inaccurate. My wife and I love going out, we go to new bars, pubs and restaurants every other day. We jet ski, look at the sights and visit every museum, garden and just about any event. We now live in San Diego,CA , hands down the most beautiful city in California. Fortunately San Diego in a very Red city (not that it matters to some) , very pet friendly city and here there is a ton to do. We’ve lived here for years and we still haven’t done and seen everything. Now I’ll be going back to Jacksonville, not because I want to but because I have to and am not happy about it a single bit. Oh and the weather is horrible, it’s like an armpit. Imagine going from the most perfect weather in the US and then diving head first into a jock strap.
I think you have to search out the good parts of JAX. I love San Diego too, but also there the beaches are not what they used to be, Pacific Bch, Mission Bch getting alittle run down, still better than JAX Bch, but I think I would put the edge to Fernandina Beach.
I wonder why Californians move out of state in huge numbers . If you're wealthy you don't represent the majority of the people but for the middle class and lower class California became extremely expensive. You're forced to live in apartments because you can't afford a house anymore. Not that housing is cheap in Florida but still far away from CA. How's that beach water working out for you? Cold isn't it? Many regulations in CA . It's beautiful in its own way but apparently a lot of people don't care about mountains they like Florida because of their beaches, lakes, rivers and parks . More laid back (leave Miami-Ft Lauderdale out of it) . I live in South Texas. The Southwest and Texas constantly deal with droughts. It doesn't want to rain makes the landscape look dry . Florida doesn't have that problem . Anyway I think you make Florida ( Jacksonville) look like worse than it is.
I never seen this video. This is video gives the best view of Jacksonville and other parts of Florida. You have the best videos of places my friend keep it up.
This one is much better than the last one on Jax. I am from there. Ponte Vedra is pronounced "Veedra". The Tolomato river near Nocatee is called the Intracoastal Waterway. Nobody uses the river names around here. I'm surprised you didn't mention Kingsley Plantation, which is a Timucuan Preserve right across from where you get off the St Johns River Ferry. It's a beautiful property with old live oaks dripping with moss and standing historic buildings to tour; easily a daytrip. Maybe next time cover Fort Caroline which is right near where you get on the Dames Point Bridge from the south. We also have a Botanical Gardens right neat Fort Caroline. That section of town is beautiful with older Spanish-style homes. Also San Marco area which is near the south bank of downtown, and Five Points which is a cute area with shopping, down Riverside Dr. Bounded by the West bank of the St Johns river and the Ortega river is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in town and full of historic and beautiful homes, called Ortega. I could go on and on. I'm sure you don't have so much time to cover everything but for your next vid, there's a few offerings yet. Good job!
Thankyou, yea, I knew I owed it to the JAX area to do a much better area...I've always of said Veedra, but when I looked it up the prnounciation websites were saying "ved-ra". Thanks for the comments.
I lived in Tampa Bay for 20+ years, relocated to Charlotte 2020, ready to come back home! Plan to relocate with my husband and kids next summer! Looking into Jacksonville area.
Thank you for posting this. My daughter is moving to Jacksonville at the end of this month. This has given me tons of ideas for things to do when I visit her.
I absolutely love Amelia Island. It is not overran by tourists and retains it's charm. Hope it can stay that way. My last trip there I made three TH-cam videos of my trip. Hope to get back there soon. I enjoy your videos. Very well done. 👍🌴
Thank you for this. I’ve lived in Jacksonville for two years and without gps I have no idea where I’m going or how to get there, let alone get back again. It took a year to figure out I live on the ‘south side.’
Thank you for this, this is the best video I've seen show-casing Jacksonville. I live in Jacksonville and loved living here, I've learned about some places I haven't been to.

Love this video it really shows the beauty of my home town. I’m living in Texas now missing home watching Jacksonville videos This is so beautiful….. Huguenot park is my favorite spot
Absolutely love this video. I had the privilege of living in Jax for 21 years now, and this video made me fall in love with it even more. Jags heard you and finally signed Tim Tebow. One correction: Beachwalk and Beacon lake are not in Nocatee and don’t belong to any of the Nocatee amenities. Nocatee is it’s own beast. Fastest growing in the nation community. With multiple pools/splash areas for kids, 6 miles from the beach, walking trails, golf cart community. But Beachwalk and Beacon Lake are off of 210. Close to Nocatee.
Yea, its been freaking. Theres been several things I mention on a video, and then after a few months, it happens. Was glad to hear about Tebow, hope he makes the team.
We moved to Jacksonville in 1997. The recruiter that brought me to Jax told me all about the great things that were going to happen soon. I lost count of how many times the Ship Yards were going to be developed into a Mecca to draw people. None ever started. The tax dollars disappeared but that’s par for the course. When we moved there, the Landing had some great shops, there was a maritime museum on the South Bank. It’s all gone now but Lenny has his green space. When we moved to Naples in 2019, Kahn was telling everybody about his grand vision for everything surrounding the stadium. But I don’t see anything happening yet. Maybe things will change, but I’m doubtful they will.
I’ve heard about possible things about to happen at Lot J. They at least have plans drawn out and looking for more retailers. Lot J will happen before the shipyards. As a Jacksonville native I will run for mayor sometime soon in the future. This city has given me great opportunity. I want to give back to it and its people. Lenny Curry would be history
I wanted to visit someone in Jacksonville last year but then the pandemic happened. It would have been my first time outside of europe. This video made me even more hyped now. As soon as the chaos will be mostly over, i will plan on my second try to "come over" :) Thanks for the great video and even more anticipation. Best Regards from Germany ;)

Downtown riverside district has tremendous potential - I think maybe that’s what Lot J was supposed to be. But personally I love Ponte Vedra and all areas north and south of town, where it feels a little country but also still upscale.
Only been to Jacksonville once but I liked it. I think it is slept on. I love Miami but I think Jacksonville can be an alternative to Orlando and other cities. A few hours drive from Atlanta and they don’t get as many storms as other pets of Florida
Applause for you, love you video, excellent, explain with details different areas where the people can enjoy it. I went to Jacksonville 2 weeks ago to explore because I want to move there, but I can't see too much was raining a lot.
Firstly a thank you for such a great channel and informative videos..we are watching from Manchester, UK..but are moving our life to Florida - jacksonville/ponte vedra area in the coming months...this video along with others (st augustine) has given us a massive list of things to do and places to see with our children and two dogs!..thank you so much and keep up the great work!..
IF YOU ARE A GOLF FAN THIS IS ONE FACT TO SHARE WITH YOU IF YOU DON'T KNOW AND THAT IS IN,1994 TIGER WOODS WON A GOLF TOURNAMENT AT PONDE VERDA BEACH. AND THAT VICTORY WAS PART OF HIS RISE TO STARDOM
Your videos are always great! The commentary is professional and soothing at the same time. This is my favorite travel guide channel. Question: how do you film your driving scenes? I tried it at Myrtle Beach inside my car but all I saw was the reflection of the cab. Do you put your cameras on the outside of your car? Or do you roll the windows down? What cameras do you use? Would love to see your camera set ups. P.s. thanks again for all the great videos! Love em
Yep I mount the cameras on the top of the truck and use GoPro Hero 8. The suction cups they make pretty good are pretty strong This is the one I use www.amazon.com/Smatree-Suction-Greater-Compatible-Session/dp/B00PQ4ACQ2/ref=sr_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=Go+Pro+car+mounted&qid=1616546916&sr=8-18
As a Jax Native who moved to the West Coast, it’s rare to find a fully comprehensive video that speaks positive on Jax and the surrounding areas. Good stuff. Just know it’s pronounced Ponte Veeeedra not Ponte Vaydra to locals. Also…unless you’re a Gator fan, NOBODY wanted Tebow at the time this was filmed. (But yes the city was excited for Urban before his infamous season started). RIP Landing, Avoid Out East & NW Jax & most importantly: Go Jags!
I know Jax has a lot of potential, it’s basically the city’s motto: “the Bold New City of the South” that you see on every JSO cop car…it’s just a lot of locals keep hearing it, but never see any real big moves. Jax is a constant struggle of half the people begging for change like real public transit, attractions like a seaquarium or a theme park, while the other half of Jax wants to stay the same and keep the city to be a bigger version of Gainesville or Ocala. Personally I don’t think Jax will ever pull into its full potential until the younger generation takes over and the older generation dies out…but we’ll see what happens.
Beautiful video🙃 Thank you! Love the drone's work, it brings so much views from the top🤩 If y'all appreciate the fresh fishes go to the Safe Harbor Seafood Restaurant in Mayport, not far from the ferry! Cool spot, easy, real folks. I miss Jax Beach where I used to live, so much I realized it's where my heart is...sooo, I'm working hard on a project to get the right visa to come back, I can't wait😍 I used to live in Fernandina Beach too...Amelia Island is quite gorgeous!! The Live oaks and their moss plant with incredible natural light going through...yep, so many beauties there...check the Big Talbot Driftwood Beach, you won't regret ((; The Sunshine State is an amazing land💚💙💛❤...well, I'll have to tell you about my "Georgia on my mind" one day... take care y'all
Beautiful content. I know this area well now. Beautiful narration and passion for what u do! Well be there for my daughters appt at Mayo Clinic soon. Now we know where to chill!
Born and raised in Chicago lived my whole life here never thought I’d leave this city but I’m planning to move in Jacksonville few months from now. I’m pretty stoked and excited for this little city I can see myself living here for good with a nice small house closer to the beach with my motorcycle, work hard to get my boat in 2 to 3 years an white Axopar 37 XC cross cabin, I’m All Set! Thanks for sharing the content and what’s the name of the song? 5:02
Yes you do the city has everything you need and want. It’s a place where you can live and convenient if you want to party or fly we have our own major airport
I hope you do an update to this video. It’s very thorough but since a lot of places where under construction it would be nice to know what is open now.
This has to be one of the best tour vids I've every seen❤❤❤.. so much info very detail. I wanna live there now lol, but I will be there next month. Any update tips or places to go???
12:45 It still blows my mind they tore down Jacksonville Landing (which even at the very end still had many places to eat) with no sure plan what to do with the land!
We are VERY glad we are not Atlanta. I've also lived in Cobb County (just north of Atlanta) and Jax is way better than Atlanta. Ponte "Veedra" is how the local pronounce that. River City Brewery is gone :-( (Shad Kahn wants all that property at the MOSH and where the brewery was). I'd love to see you update this as there is a lot of cool stuff coming soon. Like you mentioned the MOSH is moving to the shipyards, we're eventually (new mayor soon thankfully!!!!) going to have new things going into the landing area. I believe the Four Seasons is a for sure at this point. The Jax pier is open now. They are building a cool skate park and general park under the fuller warren by the Cummer Art Museum, to connect to the RAM (Riverside Arts Market) which runs every Saturday under the Fuller Warren bridge. RAM was a big miss for you and should be included in your next video as it's very popular (arts, farm market, entertainment, special events) and Hannah park's splash pad is now open. Across from Fresh Market in Brooklyn will be new apartments with a Whole foods and shopping/restaurant (former Times-Union bldg.) Rents have gone up 30 to 50% AT LEAST. "ChamBLINS" not "Chamberlins" and their best cult-following location is off Roosevelt Blvd in a couple of old airplane hangars. Best seafood here is considered Safe Harbor by Mayport, or Dockside (formerly second location for Safe Harbor) across from Adventure landing off Atlantic Blvd, which is set to close for apartments to replace it. Adventure Landing says they will seek another location once their lease is up. Maybe next year would be a good time to check back and see if there is any progress. You make Jax look fantastic. And it is...just not all the time and all the places, lol.
Yes there are a lot of florida I haven't been? I miss it so much? I live in nc now? I know why did I leave florida? Wanted something different? I've never seen snow? Remember I was born and raised in florida? But now that I've seen snow? I want to live in florida more now then before? I will get there soon?
You make Jacksonville look like a masterpiece, my friend! I was there for All Elite Wrestling, I had trouble finding hotels or foods that truly stood out and was worthy of reviewing and YT views. That new Margaritaville is a beauty though 😎👍

Only been to Jacksonville once but I liked it. I think it is slept on. I love Miami but I think Jacksonville can be an alternative to Orlando and other cities. A few hours drive from Atlanta and they don’t get as many storms as other pets of Florida
Good point
Great video! Very well done. Thank you!
Applause for you, love you video, excellent, explain with details different areas where the people can enjoy it.
I went to Jacksonville 2 weeks ago to explore because I want to move there, but I can't see too much was raining a lot.
Thankyou for the nice words, yep it tends to rain alot this time of year.
If you decide to move here let me know I can assist you.
Wow,The Landing is gone. I thought that would never go away.
Now this is what I’ve been waiting for ! Thank you ! Great job!
Thankyou, great to hear.
Great to hear, Welcome to the US, we miss all our tourists from the UK, we feel for the restrictions you all have had to endure
IF YOU ARE A GOLF FAN THIS IS ONE FACT TO SHARE WITH YOU IF YOU DON'T KNOW AND THAT IS IN,1994 TIGER WOODS WON A GOLF TOURNAMENT AT PONDE VERDA BEACH. AND THAT VICTORY WAS PART OF HIS RISE TO STARDOM
I MISSPELLED THE NAME OF THE BEACH IT IS PONTE VEDRA
Thank you for this great video. My wife and I plan to go to Jacksonville for the first time this year. We are going to be there over Halloween.
Yep, downtown isn't all that exciting, but you definately want to explore the coastal areas around JAX
@@TampaAerialMedia Thanks for the tip. We will do that.
A lot is going on in travel. Love this channel. I'm subscribed.
Great to have you on board, thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the video... very informative!!!
I am in Jacksonville often and did not know most of what I just seen this video. Thank you I’ll be there in a couple weeks and I’m going to explore
Thankyou for the nice words, hope you have a great time.
Thankyou, yep I still believe JAX has so much potential
Jacksonville looks nice!
The Live oaks and their moss plant with incredible natural light going through...yep, so many beauties there...check the Big Talbot Driftwood Beach, you won't regret ((; The Sunshine State is an amazing land💚💙💛❤...well, I'll have to tell you about my "Georgia on my mind" one day... take care y'all
Thankyou for sharing and for the nice words
Chamblins. Its not Chamberlain's but even locals seem to mess it up
Beautiful content. I know this area well now. Beautiful narration and passion for what u do! Well be there for my daughters appt at Mayo Clinic soon. Now we know where to chill!
Thankyou, yep know about the Mayo Clinic there, a very well respected hospital. I hope everything goes well for your daughter there.
Nice video of Jacksonville. I hope Bella was able to get some work done. 😉🐶💻🥰
Thankyou, yes Bella is very efficient.
This video almost makes me want to move to Jacksonville Fl.
Let me know if you do decide to move here. I love it here.
So cool and informative great work I live about an hour south and haven’t explored north thanks for this because I haven’t bought yet
Thank you Miss Minx
Great video! Very useful information for travelers.
Thankyou Andrea
Born and raised in Chicago lived my whole life here never thought I’d leave this city but I’m planning to move in Jacksonville few months from now. I’m pretty stoked and excited for this little city I can see myself living here for good with a nice small house closer to the beach with my motorcycle, work hard to get my boat in 2 to 3 years an white Axopar 37 XC cross cabin, I’m All Set!
Thanks for sharing the content and what’s the name of the song? 5:02

You don’t wanna move here trust me.
Yes you do the city has everything you need and want. It’s a place where you can live and convenient if you want to party or fly we have our own major airport
@@k-way6146 born and raised and been here for 48 years. This place is a 💩hole buddy.
me too that's has always be my dream🖤♥️💜💙🖤♥️💜💙🖤♥️💜
@@waltersobchak7275 why?
Biking the river walk looks fun.
It is.
Great video. When you are not from here though "pontey vaydra" instead of what we know it as "pawna veedra".
Thanks so much. Very interesting
Looks like an awesome place to visit 😀
You give a great tour
Thanks
Thankyou for the nice words
Seriously underrated city IMO
I hope you do an update to this video. It’s very thorough but since a lot of places where under construction it would be nice to know what is open now.
Yea should be by 2025 if not this year
This has to be one of the best tour vids I've every seen❤❤❤.. so much info very detail. I wanna live there now lol, but I will be there next month. Any update tips or places to go???
Thankyou DeAndre, yea just highly recommend Amelia Island and Fernandina Bch. The Mayport Ferry will reopen first week of April
@@TampaAerialMedia I really appreciate that!!!
Thank you for the video!
👍👍👍
12:45 It still blows my mind they tore down Jacksonville Landing (which even at the very end still had many places to eat) with no sure plan what to do with the land!
I live here in Jacksonville born and raised and there is nowhere else I'd wanna be!!🏝🌊🌞😎
If Jacksonville wakes up, it might become another Tampa!
Jacksonville is nice but Tampa is on another level
Yea true, but there was a time 15 years ago, where people said the same about Tampa, I think JAX will get it together.
yes true, Tampa is a good example for the city leaders of JAX to follow
Jax is one big nasty ghetto. Lived here for 48 years. It gets worse every year
@@BryantBaudelaire Tampa most overrated city in Florida
Yep I agree about ATL. I have to do ATL at somepoint, but its hard to get excited about ATL. Im tentitively thinking of doing JAX in 2024.
Cool, I’m gonna be there in November
October*
Yes there are a lot of florida I haven't been? I miss it so much? I live in nc now? I know why did I leave florida? Wanted something different? I've never seen snow? Remember I was born and raised in florida? But now that I've seen snow? I want to live in florida more now then before? I will get there soon?
Well JAX is not to far from you, lots of new building in St Johns River, FL Nocatee area
Great video
Thankyou Brian

You make Jacksonville look like a masterpiece, my friend! I was there for All Elite Wrestling, I had trouble finding hotels or foods that truly stood out and was worthy of reviewing and YT views. That new Margaritaville is a beauty though 😎👍
There is so many good places to get food in Jacksonville. You did zero research.
