Its actually good play if you think about it, the minion is odd so it scales and it technically makes more gold with free rolls than having 6-8 random odd cards, also rylaak and buddy takes 2 board slots which is too much for endgame board
Hey man I’m stuck at around 9k mmr. It helped me to 1) not be afraid to lose early early game (turn 1 and 2 fights) and stay on tavern one, as potential for power is a lot less (buddy meta has changed this per hero but generally leveling 2 on 2 opens up a lot more potential) 2) knowing what you’re looking for. There are certain cards on each tier and tribe that help to spike your tempo and level for more scaling engines (such as nightbane on tavern 4 that greatly spikes tempo) 3) holding off on leveling depending on your position. If you’re losing many fights and need tempo badly on tier 3 and 4, it can be catastrophic to blindly level. If you don’t really have a card that you’re looking for on 4 with your current board state sticking on 3 fora turn will give you tempo and buddy discount which can help you survive. 4) looking for scaling engine cards that give a high return a couple turns down rather than immediate tempo. If a card gives tempo for a turn but doesn’t have long term value, you can’t compete with other people’s power. Eg: cards like brann and tavern tempest provide you value over time 5) ignoring early game triples (generally) as tripling on one and two usually make you lose power and with a low power return. Instead of going for early triples and freezing go for board tempo. Ofc this is case specific and different when power leveling but early game triples make you lose fights and buddy discounts at current meta. 6) when you level, generally don’t freeze. I used to do this, but opening up the free refresh that can have your current tier cards can generally help you spike in power. (Case specific of course) 7) save buddying for when you can afford to, gold and health wise. If you pop buddy too early and it’s a weak one, expect to lose health. Instead of focusing on popping buddy (unless it directly leads to something else that can help you win), focus on tempo and winning fights so that the buddy can come down on board with less consequences. (Case by case of course, as certain buddies unlock a lot of power when popped early) Whenever I play battlegrounds I think of a snowballing effect, especially in this current meta. Having power unlocks power, so having cards that give you gold long term (and tempo long term via a scaling engine) is the key. Hope this random guide helps, idk if it really makes sense but good luck in the tavern and I hope we queue up once you climb some more!
All of you were hating on Ellum as a new player saying he wasn’t even listening or trying to learn when time and time again dog also does silly things like not paying attention to cards in the shop and missing exactly what he’s looking for or messing up obvious board positioning. Almost like there’s so much to think about that it’s super easy to forget the most basic of things, eh?
@@Teyeranitar He’s a brand new player… do you genuinely think a fellow streamer would ask dog for time out of multiple days to teach him, just to take the whole thing as a joke and not try to learn? Obviously not. He made sure to thank dog and show him appreciation multiple times while they were together. He’s going to make a bunch of dumb mistakes, that’s what happens when you’re new at something.
@@StevenG_RB You clearly don't know anything about Ellum. Pretty clear you're not basing this on an actual opinion of him as a person. Ellum is a troll and a shitter. Yes, he wasted Dog's time. He proceeded to completely ignore all the advice he was given when he played in Valk's tournament.

I really didn't see it, what happened?!??
@@leozzeras He missed the mooneater in the shop because he was figuring out his order. It was a card he really needed for this comp.
@@samdyke2697 ohhhh, I was paying attention to his board. I thought he "missordered" his cards.

I love how messy this game is
Been watching this mans for years and this is the most misplays I've seen hahaha I love it

gets rid of engine that gives him a full hand of units that all scale his entire board and gives him gold so that he can have free rerolls. genius.

only dog’s bg vids can make laugh nonstop so much 😂😂😂
This was the greatest game to have ever happened in battlegrounds history.
And I refuses to believe otherwise.
This game started out a little skibidi, but by the end it was pretty skibidi.
Every time he says the other buddy’s name I sing Scatman to myself
Dog: *gets to T6 by Turn 8 and forces one rare comp effortlessly*
Me: *Dies Turn 8 on T5 trying to survive the next turn*
😅
Flawless game with 33% odds at the end.
great video, a bit worried about dogs cough...
Yeah he's alright, got some medication and he's a lot better now

Good night eu
Hello fellow gamers. It's sure skibidi in here today, isn't it?
This is punishment for calling it Skibidi
Just had a faelin game exactly like this, highrolled the shit out the lobby and couldn’t play fast enough bc my computer is too slow for apm, sucks
Good morning AU
Also how bad did this Tess have to play if he's so small after all the dog's mistakes

Clown comment. There's a difference between wiffing a 40 gold turn and wiffing on turn THREE.
