Having watched Billy and Austin on Jump Street Podcast talk about "what style means to you", this was another good delve into blading philosophy. The caveat that style and what makes a good switch-up is subjective and a matter of personal opinion kind of absolves anyone of what they say - there's no real right or wrong! I think you make lots of valid points which are relevant to us all, and can be interpretated beneficially in each person's level of blading. Example, the budget switch up - if you do any switch up with enough commitment, intention and with consideration, that lends to the style and execution of the switch up - which will likely make it more appealing to do and to watch! As for fluidity / the unexpected movement, this is the beauty of opposites: they are different but both have value. The Back Sav to True Mak/Fish is a fluid continuation of spin direction, smooth and clean. If I did Back Sav to AO Makio/AO Fish, it's much more unexpected, against the grain but the difficulty to reverse the initial direction can make for an unexpected "statement" of intent - lacing that would be good too, although not as fluid. Thanks for sharing good opinions and the footage after - you're doing it right ✋🏻 👊🏻 😁
any clip with the tripod long lens cam is just so much more crisp. i feel personally attacked by the hate on budged switchups :D i feel like nowadays the "wow" factor in a swtichup catches me most like your implementation of kicks or idk torres did in some video a royal to fishbrain but onefoot on the floor and then back into a p/tp... love shit like that.
Brother this is my favorite channel on blade theory or in other words just talking about the technique and steez that goes in to these tricks you have something special with this channel keep it pushing 💯💯
whenever anyone tells me there are rules in a sport, lie no go tricks for whatever reason, i just go out of my way to do them, and always bring up the point not everyone is trying to go pro or be the next #1, some people just wanna have fun and get exercise, and condemning anything is just dumb in a casual sense, most "dumb tricks" can train and get you prepared for other stuff, competition, thats a different topic entirely, video parts, another different topic entirely. I am purely talking, having fun and just being with homies having fun.
13:49 "like a bang bang bang" I do that in my mind when I picture a trick in my mind! Ooooh we need more of this! My G here talking about Switch-ups in rhythm and how important sound is!!? sick! 💎☠️🤌🏽
the "space bar" at 23:28 was high af!

Very cool talk.
I’m bad at switchups, but that topsoul hop topacid is cool and inspiring to try
Ohhhh rhythm. That is a good one. That’s a sick way to think about it. 🫡

note to the disclaimer at the beginning of the video
@@twgskate I did
well in that case thank you for sharing your opinion too :)
Also, Soyale budget Top Mistrial is cheeky!! Love it haha
Dope video!!!! Those switchups were 🔥🔥🔥
Any switch up is good in my book! People tend to forget that rolling on skates is difficult enough for others...
i came to that realization too by the end of recording, this is just my personal compass i guess
@@ericgoesham535 yes, but...
