@@Dpressd568 Well with regard to Steam reviews, they tend to reflect a game's quality pretty damn accurately. Especially if a game is an unoptimized, buggy mess, or is so good that those problems don't matter. And people need some point of reference to decide what's worth their time or money, since trailers can be incredibly deceptive. And raw game play wise, I think those negative reviews are definitely more than accurate. I agree with the sentiment that it does not look ready for early access.
You have to. So many games flop nowadays, its the only way to comfortably spend money. Mixed reviews means stay away sadly. Most people can't keep shoveling money to trash like some people @@Dpressd568
Looks like a very interesting blend of Monster hunter/Zelda/Conan Exiles. Had to double check this isn't made by Pocket Pair who have a very bad track record of starting EA games and never finishing anything (Overdungeon, Craftopia, Palworld) This is developed by Massive Damage, Inc. who do have 2 finished games under their belt, with this entry being their 1st foray into this kind of genre.
I’m hoping it turns into something good! It clearly needs more work and def some QOL updates but it could be a lot worse! The biggest thing is the world / verticality of it. I like the aerial exploration and overall aesthetic.
Was anyone else screaming when he was farming the Terrastone and half-breaking the smaller form of the stone but not finishing the stone fully off? Was it just me?
This looks like a prequal to dauntless, it seems to me that we are the founders of dauntless city and are building it as we play or something like that.
Don't think comparing this game to Monster Hunter is a good thing. There's obviously the hunting of monsters, but that's not what makes Monster Hunter what it is. I'm looking at the different gameplay mechanics and I don't really see anything. The crafting system doesn't come even close to resembling the crafting system of MonHun. It's more focused on upgrades and unlocking stuff for housing and building, rather than armors and weapons. The gameplay loop of farming resources from kills to upgrade stuff is similar, but it's not like that's unique to MH, either. I guess having the ability carve monsters is similar? I just don't see it. It's definitely closer to BoTW than MonHun. I guess the other chunk of the game is the combat, but that isn't even remotely the same, and making the comparison will bring MonHun players to critique it as if it were a rival to the MonHun series, which will bring some harsh criticisms. The previous two games that tried to encroach onto MonHun territory just couldn't hack it. Let it be what it is. Not every difficult action combat game is a "soulslike" and not every monster hunting game is Monster Hunter.

Wind sounds are aweful. Heavy handed attempt at immersion. Same with the combat sound effects. Hitting a mob that doesnt react to your impacts at all while throwing in obnoxious contact sound effects is a huge fail. Kinda killed what otherwise looked fun
Looks similar to zela/genshin/any other weird survival title the last 4 years. Seriously there is Enshrouded and Frozen Flame.. Those games have the same fidelity as this.
So much of the same kinds of games, give me a game where I can’t catch or kill the monsters and can only level up by gathering, crafting and running away successfully from massive horrifying creatures 😂 Only half joking lol- game looks fun though
Yes this was played on PC, it may come to console as well. I hate to say it but most likely no future for games like these on switch. If i were you i’d look into a cheap desktop/laptop. It’ll be much more flexible for gaming.
@@turionb1408 That is simply just not true lol, if someone is already gaming on switch or console they are clearly used to 30-60 FPS. With that said you can easily build or even buy a complete that can hit 60+ FPS on games with lowered settings (still looks better then console and is smoother) for $750 or less if you do proper research. While that may sound like a lot people are still spending $500+ for a new console that is extremely limited and very rarely hits a stable 60 FPS. Which is damn near robbery at that point… Not to mention it opens up tons of options for new games, mods, settings, etc. People seem to think (like you) that it’s extremely expensive to play on PC and you always need 200+ FPS or some crazy stuff. Getting a rig that runs 60+ FPS on lowered settings is generally between $500-750 which is NOT much higher then the cost of getting into next-gen console gaming. Just some food for thought.

i will say honestly fera looks like monster hunter, BOTW ans dauntless ofcourse without the microtrans of dauntless but combat style looks similar
this game looks like it'll be awesome so long as the devs continue to work on it and update it.
yeah because right now it look like shit. It have a lot of system in place but does none of them particularly well

If Capcom doesn't pull a Nintendo before this thing can get off the ground.
Another PC game though this was mobile
