Ok it’s been a few years since I took my drivers exam but I was taught to stop even if the pedestrian had already passed my side to draw attention to the oncoming traffic. What has happened to extending courtesy to your fellow man??? We this world are on a bad path unless we take some steps back in time to remember good laws taught. My thanks to the gentleman risking his life to bring these people to the awareness of this law.

Most jurisdictions require, "Cars must yield to pedestrians actually in that kind of crosswalk. And then, only to pedestrians on “the half of the roadway upon which the vehicle is traveling,” or “approaching so closely from the opposite half of the roadway as to be in danger.” There seems to have been a few over-zealous prosecutions in the video, however YMMV.
People are idiots for not stopping at crosswalks. I live a block away from a school. I know the crossing guards and see just how stupid people are, trying to beat the light as children are trying to cross. I'm glad someone caught this on camera. Thanks

The district attorney isn't going to want to throw a bunch of cases out of court so I suspect the cops have rules they are expected to abide by to assure a legal conviction.
Hey idiot there is no excuses for speeding threw crosswalks with pedestrians in it if you can't learn to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk then you shouldn't be driving.
A few of these people were trapped. Most were idiots but a few were trapped. He sees a car flying down, is on the side walk and then quickly steps into the cross walk and flags that car that didnt have enough time to stop. Watch the video, you will see what I mean. Its hard to stop a car at say 45 mph in 2 seconds.

I am ALL for safety of pedestrians but they were calling in people that were BEHIND the guy no were near hitting him....
That's not how the law reads! The pedestrian has to clear the road, not just the lane you're in!

It doesn't say the word "yield" but it's an international road sign & it's in the handbook for the driver's license test!

If they're on a public street the motorist is supposed to have the right of way.
