I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. This song was made to have a more Michael Jackson & Bruno Mars feel to it. Also Wonwoo wasn’t in the dance practice bc of health reasons so they used the Fox plushy to represent him.

I vaguely remember at the time that Seventeen might have been essentially blacklisted during this comeback for contention for the live stage shows after carats at the time continually acted out (in general no specific reasoning) and caused trouble so something happened but that could be just what people whispered about I doubt all the different networks would flag them for the same thing. Might have been Pledis too, at least with one of the stage shows. I'm not sure how it's sales were it could have been up against tough competition and it just never got to like the top 2-3.
@@aethernity8270 yes probably~ it's because it was a repack, their album sales were a lower than normal so they couldnt win. either that or competition was tough at the time. probably a mix of both
there's a stuff toy there bc it represents wonwoo (he is sick during the promotion of aju nice era) if im not mistaken.
They always put something in front every time they do dance practices to help them find the centre. This is to not ruin the formation while dancing 🙂

I feel terrible because I didn't realize he wasn't there. I knew he had health problems during this, but I thought, for some reason, he was in this. I feel really dumb and bad now.

I think it’s the other way around. I mean in Boom Boom he and The8 got 2 second lines. (But I think it was bc of difficultly of speech. Correct me if I’m wrong).

I've always thought about it and the one singing should be given more spotlight/center time esp if they're showing off their vocal/rap skills cause it gives more emphasis on them but since Seventeen is a 13 membered group,others take singing/rapping lines and the remaining take centers/dance breaks and I also think that is the reason why they have units.They want everyone to shine individually.
I am so SO glad you noticed Jun cause he is so talented and a lot of people tend to forget him. He’s a masterpiece by himself.
Seventeen's early MO was vibrant songs with hard and very performative dances. And they were AMAZING at it. They were always known as a group with great choreography, but when they released Don't Wanna Cry it still floored all of us, because the group that was able to embody light heartedness and vibrance in their dances could also just absolutely kill a sad emotional song and deliver so much emotional weight just through their choreography. They're so talented and I feel so lucky to have followed their journey from the start because they have just continually suprised me.
i love seeing him lose his mind over how in sync seventeen is, and he's totally right about Astro. They only know complicated dances lol. Cravity is also super in sync, I love Jumper and Break All the Rules, but I wanna see him react to Jumper. Spin jumps, synchronization, intense choreo, and intense foot/knee work makes for an amazing dance practice.
I think, at least in kpop groups, when someone has to hit a really high note they put them aside and not at the center, because at that moment dancing hard is kind of difficult... Please please please react to Lilili Yabbay by Seventeen's performance team, that choreo is a master piece!

This was my favorite choreo for like a full year after it came out. The choreo is just sooooooo fun and playful and DIFFICULT, but because its so fun, it didn't bother me listening a hundred thousand times to learn it

It's actually understandable that you'll notice Jun, Dino and Hoshi at 6:00, because they are the performance unit and aside from the fact that they contributed more on the choreography, they practice it almost, if not, to perfection and teach it to the other members (there's also minghao on the other side wearing orange shirt that belongs to the performance unit). And at 9:50, although they are not the one singing that part of the song, the performance unit are often placed at the front
I'm so glad you reacted to this, the aju nice dance practice was actually the video that got me to stan svt. I just loved seeing how much fun they seemed to be having, and I was also fascinated by their individual styles, like you talked about :')
also Jun definitely did not have more lines before TT I think the one you commented on is his only one in the song djfkgj that's also probably why they gave him the center for DK's part which you commented in the dance practice :')
Did you know that whenever Seventeen release new song, Very Nice also pops on charts. A lot of variety shows used Very nice as a background for some segments and clips like players gets the answers correct etc.
These is the most iconic encore of Seventeen concert!! No one knows even the boys when thee concert will end because the DJ keeps on playing this song and it is like a curse to boys that they need to jump and jive while it is a gift to carats to be with the boys for a longer time
