I really liked your video when you took them out of the package I learned that the reason bristles are hard is they pack them in xantham gum so a quick dip in water before you mess with bristles your can actually like break them cause they are hard probably not these synthetics though just something to think about I really love your review thank you!
Okay, that was a bit of a ramble. I also think you're over thinking it, and yet at the same time managing to under think what you need. For clarity, I'm not swayed by arguments over sable use etc, because the animals are only alive because they have a use. A point Vegans tends to forget when they say give up meat, because then what happens to all the meat animals we breed? Sorry, that was probably far too political. So, here's the thing, the meat of my comment (sorry, not sorry for the pun), buy a bunch of cheap synthetic brushes from China in different sizes; use until they fall apart for general paint application. Have a handful of good sable brushes in the sizes you need, and treat them with as much respect as one can, and they'll last a long time. I'm not sure if you're interested but here's a link to a TH-cam painter that discusses the same issues from a practical perspective: th-cam.com/video/dTqK28W-NEY/w-d-xo.html And another by Vince on brush control: th-cam.com/video/Q7Hzt9Omfbo/w-d-xo.html Sorry if you know all this, but these videos helped me a lot to level up.
I always learn something when you put out a video

That's really interesting, thanks! I'll remember to wash my brushes when I first get them out in future.
