Correction, there is just one noteworthy thing about Runaway Dogs. Ness requires 4 exp to level up from level 1 to 2; that is exactly the amount of exp that a Runaway Dog rewards. So, if the Runaway Dog happens to be the first enemy you encounter, you can get your first level up after your first fight.

Seeing Ness getting his picture taken reminded me of when I cross-stitched a picture of him doing the "fuzzy pickles" pose for my friend as a Christmas present last year. I'll never forget how happy he was when I gave it to him.
Odd note. The "sunrise" riff that starts the Onett theme is also the riff that starts the "Pollyanna" theme in Mother 1. This is perfect because the first lyric of "Pollyanna" is "I believe the Mornin' Sun/Always gonna shine again, and..." The implication is that the singer was right. Despite all the horrid stuff you're about to see, the Sun does, in fact, keep shining. The Mother series stands with "Calvin and Hobbes," "Pippi Longstocking," "Catcher in the Rye," and the works of Maurice Sendak. Chugga your videos have always been entertaining for me to watch and have even helped me through the time last year when my house was attacked and nearly set on fire which resulted in my mom being shot. But she lived. I was a sophomore at the time but your videos helped me then and I always enjoy them. They even make me want to become a let's player myself even though I don't have enough knowledge or the equipment to do so.

So for the past year or so you've been doing let's plays of games that I've never really cared for or been interested in at all, (although I've recently become fond of the pokemon games) but I'm glad to say for the first time in a long time I'm genuinely excited for a new video to come out.
this series meeses with my head so much. I frequently listen to these videos while doing something else, looking up whenever I hear the sound effect used for pop-up text. as you can probably guess, I often look up by instinct, and get confused for a moment when I see no text because the sound was just from a battle.
I'm glad I get to see this game through Chugga's perspective. I played it when it came out on eShop several years back and couldn't get into it, but it's nice to hear the perspective of someone who's passionate about the game.
If it ever gets an official english translation I have no doubt that chugga will redo it. I can imagine him redoing Earthbound Zero for that same reason.

this series meeses with my head so much. I frequently listen to these videos while doing something else, looking up whenever I hear the sound effect used for pop-up text. as you can probably guess, I often look up by instinct, and get confused for a moment when I see no text because the sound was just from a battle.
Just for this game, I hope he turns up the game audio volume. The OST is everything.
I'm glad I get to see this game through Chugga's perspective. I played it when it came out on eShop several years back and couldn't get into it, but it's nice to hear the perspective of someone who's passionate about the game.

What Chuggaa forgot to mention is that if Tracy is holding the Sound Stone, then you can still progress the game properly. you only NEED The sound stone at the very end of the game, at no other point is it required so it opens up an inventory slot for you.

12:20, the biggest problem with running from enemies though is unless they're on the other end of the screen or obstructed by a foreground object, they're fast enough to catch up to you before you off-screen them.
I wonder if people could crossover Earthbound with Boku no Hero, Powerpuff Girls, or The Loud House.
They all are just as quite as quirky and like them
