Actually those two Dota2 heros are really interconnected if you look at hero called Warden from WarcraftIII and her ultimate ability creating "Spectre and tiny specters after".
Earlier episode of loregasm series imo are slack ( and dota lore ) at it finest. Later on, it feels more disconnected and less convincing (maybe that's one of the reason why he didn't make anymore new episode). Please check them all out, it definitely worth your while. And if you want more, then you can move on to the dota lore that was present in Artifact ( such a big waste of potential. Till this day many of us still feel the disappointment about how Valve treat that game. It could be so much much more, both in term of gameplay as well as world-building)
In warcraft lore Phantom assasin( maiev shadowsong) vengeance form is Spectre so even without the arcana As long as you play warcraft you already know they are same person. And grubby should not be surprised. You played wc3 alot. And phantom is not they only one that 2 heroes is actually same person for example. Anti mage --> demon form= terrorblade Omniknight --> Death knight form = Abbadon
don't want to ruin the mood but, in Dota 1, Phantom Assassin used Maiev Model from WC3, and Spectre used the Model from Maiev's Ult from WC3 which is why they are pretty similar. I think that's as far as the similarities go.

@@anhtuantran4961 what you just said further proves my point, that small paragraph that pops up when you hover the mouse over the hero doesn't count as lore, why? because a lot of them changed and some of them were removed. Abaddon was supposed to be the knight that wondered fart and lost his mind after losing his comrades, Leshrac had a poem about torment (and was removed later). Some heroes didn't have anything at all (such as Razor) and as soon as DOTA 2 was released all that lore became OBSELETE. Therefore any connection between DOTA 1 lore and DOTA 2 simply doesn't exist, moreover, any similarities between PA and Spectre goes out the window as well.
I like the theory, but Mortred is not Mercurial. Spectre is a tragic monster that can hop dimensions, but that doesn't make her the same as Mortred Arcana who does something similar. No, i think spectre is PA herself who trapped in alter dimensions cz of contract with oracle in the past Its connected with PA, her arcana, then become spectre

In Dota Underlords, Spectre says she remembers that she once had sisters. She had line about Veil. She also says: "I still have names on my list," the PA talks of her list all the time. "So it's White Spire, I... I know this city!" "What have I become?!" "Wisdom of the Oracles" it is the oracles that give out the targets for the Sisters of the Veil. The PA says in her lines that she will not betray the oracles.
